SOLVED MP, no other cars visible b1128

So, we upgraded our steamCMD server (4 multiple player folders) using update_server.bat and now we can't see each other? We can hear the other cars but we can't see the other cars?
Any ideas?​

We have rebuilt the vmods but it did not help & when joining one of the rf2 official servers like the new BTTC servers everything's fine? so, it's got to be something on our end?o_O
 
One of the guys at RD had that issue yesterday. He couldn't see us and we couldn't see him. I'll ask if he got it sorted as soon as he's available.

i had similar issue directly after new build; cant see other cars. figured out that the new build had set network settings down to 128kps on dl and upl on my client. so raised the numbers which fixed it.
 
Thx lars! when you say client your not talking about the actual ded's right? we have 4 player folders and those ded's are set to our max bandwidth already (1gbt connx)

so it says 80000 but to the right is 78mbps is this the issue?
 
Urr um doh your talking about our own game settings, mines at 256 and i can join other servers and see everyone fine & they see me , its just our servers that have the issues o_O

256 is way too low, set it to at least 1024. This is what I was trying to ask you on discord yesterday.

Yes thx !!! I had to go to work and was late already! :eek: Ok so i couldn’t find anywhere in the game to adjust networking with the new UI :rolleyes:i had to look at my userdata player MP file to see it and this is my install not the server, . so is it like the gpx wher i need to go threw steam to get to network settings? And why can i see cars on other servers but not ours? Do i need to find the server userdata folders to turn it up? Sorry im so lame on this :(:oops: still at work so just hoping i can get some info and get it sorted tonight after work for this weekend’s events :confused:

edit: ok i now see the network settings in game DOh… my pea brain is maxed out lol

Hers is another members settings that also cant see other cars but he can on other servers just not ours

Well, that did not work ... we tried 1024 & then went up and up testing to 4.0 mbps, nothing....chedcked all the player folders on the server and they are all set to 6 (custom) in the MP file and set custom to 80,000 in the ded.. we are miffed .. the other cars are simply invisable ..you can hear them, you can click like you're changing views from cockpit to bumper while trying to view the other players car and it changes like it should but no car is there.. :eek::rolleyes:

you said "checked all folders on the server.." - did you adjust the clients as well as Goanna said above "..Tell everyone joining your server to adjust these up to at least 1024 as per Coutie’s suggestion;"
 
Yes, sorry the post above was after we changed our clients. We tested our clients from 1024 up to 4.0 & as clients we can join another open server and everything is fine o_O.
So something on our servers is messed up. It's so strange. The other players cars are simply invisible, we can click to view them and go through the cam views like cockpit, bumper, bonnet and the camera changes like it should but it's on an invisible car..
 
I see on our server (our rf2 server admin is on vacation) we have 2 update.bat files, we only ran the steamCMD/update_server.bat, do we also need to run the other one- steamCMD/update.bat? Im out of ideaso_O

Everything on the server looks correct ..we have tried adjusting all the clients network settings up.. It now looks like our weekend league rF2 racing is going to have to be postponed unless we can solve this mystery .. If anyone's willing to have a look we can get you on our remote server to check our files ..everythings working except you can't see other players' cars ..

..probably you should run the other batch-file..couldnt go even worse..
also you could try to uninstall and install the vehicle on the server...also if possible for you, create a new vmod.
