    Hi all

I am fairly new to rF2. I have a question regarding modifying vehicle physics.

In rF2, lets say if would like to change only the power curve (or just any other paramter) of the global physics HDV file. How is it normally done ?

    Is it done like

Step 1 : unpack the .mas file
Step 2 : edit the parameter of interest in the hdv file and save it.
Step 3 : repack them into an mas file again.

    Did I understood correct ?

Correct me if I am wrong

    Thanks in advance

After repack the mas file you have to create a new vehicle or an update of the previous one (rfcmp)

and the hdv file often does not have all the information. Engine files, suspensions, tires etc are loaded by the hdv. So, depending upon the item you wish alter, you may have to read the hdv and locate the file that is used.

To my knowledge, some HDV files (for example, EnduRacers Mod) are encrypted and can therefore neither be opened nor changed. This also applies to some update files and so on.
