    I made a fresh install of Rfactor2 ( i hope :)
and get the this error when I try to launch the game Missing D3DXCreateEffect in DLL-biblioteket d3dx9_43.dll

I tried running the vcredist_x64.exe ( I´m running Windows 7 64 bit) but still have the problem.

I also updated the direct x.

Anyone know how to fix this error?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards
    Normark

What's your system? What's changed? Did you run it previously without problems?

Did you try to install the latest DirectX9 over the existing installation?

You can get it HERE (don't use the online updater)

Hmm, unforyunately the directX update didn´t do the trick.

Strange that an upgrade of Rfactor2 stops the thing from working:confused:

Now I tryed to force 32 bit, and then I can run the game.

Have I overlooked something, isn´t the game 64 bit?

    Related to this:
i would like to ask which version did you install now?
It should be Build 946, the content or lite installer, from THIS site.
And yes, it is 64 bit capable.

It is the 946 I have installed, but I think it is a graphic card problem, I have problems
updating the driver ( Nvidia GeForce GT 610 )

Did you try to completely uninstall the graphics card in the windows device manager, reboot the PC then and install the driver again?

No, the nvidia driverupdate had a possibility to make a fresh installation, where it removes the old version
and install a complete new. ( I hope it functions that way, and it looks like it, the screen goes black and
is in basic graphic mode during the update.)
I tried it several times and don´t succed, strange:confused:

If it don't works with the NVidia uninstall/install routine, i really would suggest to get the latest driver from the NVidia-Website first,
then uninstall the graphics-card in the windows device manager, boot the PC and install the new downloaded driver then.

The worst case could be that your graphics card is corrupted.

Check you have not got any direct X dll files in your Rfactor2 folder. Move or delete them if you have.
