any official state about the issue or any fix soon ? I have very high standards now with this simulation and the steering is one of the most important parts.
right now our only choice is to use Windows and manually delete the car folder. Even that may not clear a mod though. look inside rFactor2/installed/vehicles/then choose your car folder
I don't have the mini, but the caterham 1.0 was removed after they updated the CS event to use 1.05. I assume they did the same with the mini. Usually issues are caused by car updates that block older versions because they're done incorrectly, but I don't know if that error would be caused by it. (Different error message) I would try running ModMgr and see what events you have using the mini, and remove them. Then check the installed\vehicles folder in rF2 for any extra folders for the mini - should be 1.04 and 1.05 only I believe. Did you post this in the right thread?
Anyone know... 1) the Steam ID number for the Mini Cooper S 2) why we can't look up numbers through Inventory on Steam anymore 3) why the Mini doesn't show up here: https://steamdb.info/app/365960/items/
You can also find it at steamapps\workshop\content\365960 and search for mini. Folder-number is SteamID.
Right, but I haven't purchased it yet, so it's not there. Needed it to put on my league's server for those who already had it. Thanks!
2. Steam changes, however when you get the error/hidden message look at the address bar at the top, it will have the steamID there. 3. It’s there, you now need to be logged in to see all the inventory items.
2) Man, that font is tiny as hell, LOL! Thanks! 3) I WAS logged in and I searched on "mini," "cooper," and "austin." Not there. No worries, problem solved. Thanks!
The mini still has a SEQ gearbox? at a slow corners cannot shift from 4th to second, MUST go through third..?
Because it's not in the car itself, it's something about using the clutch requirements in the shift protection .hdv section (the Caterham uses the same, and has the same behaviour). I can't recall if this was stated as being on a list to fix / look at. Hopefully it is.
Loving the minis, they are giving the league I am a member of some really good racing. Two problems I see with this car. It rolls too easily sometimes when you have taken a small kerb. The tyres seem interesting. If you can keep the temperatures down, they are ok, but they seem to overheat quickly. Have a look at the classic touring car videos on YouTube, and this never seemed to be a problem in the mini. The tyres I can live with, but small kerbs flipping the car needs to be improved please.
still broken so we assume not, as usual half working releases are acceptable.. pity as the car is visually appealing and handles nicely, maybe if they rerelease it, but market it as a fanstasy 60's car with a sequential gearbox?
It's not fixed, for sure. Can you enlighten me on what the acceptable fix time window is? What I mean is, how long is something broken before you think it's ok to assume that: it's not on a list, and half working releases are acceptable ? If you think that a year... 2 years... whatever... of something not being fixed means it's not on anyone's list, you must be new around here. Anyway, Paul mentioned this here. (this isn't car-specific) So let's go ahead and add it to the list of known issues that aren't fixed yet.
ha.. ok well we heading to a year soon.. so nearly half way through waiting for the fix I guess.. maybe they can add the second dash readouts in the DPi as well while they about it.
If it's something that is caused by Gearprotection or another HDV Setting, you could use an own Update, that deactivates/fixes it, as a temporary Solution, until it gets fixed by S397.
