[REL] MINI Challenge JCW GEN 3 (F56)

After trying the car at several 3rd party tracks and a few BTCC S397 circuits, I do think the tires have a tendency to hunt near the center. Other than that... Well done!

Can you explain a bit please? Not sure if I get the “hunt near the center” correctly.

This week I will publish an update to make the default setup a but more conservative, also I will reduce the maximum steering rate to only 420 degrees, so the steering will be more stable.

I own a tuned R56 street car, but I've never tried a Cup  others, like the Citroen Saxo Cup and the Abath 500 Trofeo, have.
The Mini Challenge's setup feels like it has too much camber and too little tire pressure, and the steering pulls too much to the left and right. Even though there's a lot of weight on the front, I still feel like the car oversteers too much. My 2 cents :)

Are you sure? I mean, when we drove it online and pushed it all like crazy many cars drove on 3 wheels. Bit logical that the grip cannot be the same as with 4 tires. I like how it behaves personally as it matches close to the footage we found of the real JCW cup behavior vs the in game replays. For a front wheel drive that you can have a tiny drift at the rear gives it a nice fun edge to it. I am affraid to much change will kill the fun.

When the car is running fairly straight, the tires will grab left or right, not a lot, but enough to transmit back to the wheel. Through the corners the tires feel fine, just when you have neutral steering with little input they will lurch side to side. There could be some weight transfer involved, I'll see if I can test that more.

What happens when you set the TOE OUT on the front wheels to 0 (zero)?

(Please Google what Toe In and Toe Out does on a car ).
