MFAA released with NVIDIA 344.75 WHQL GPU Drivers for 900 series

    Just tested it in assasin's creed unity and it really works. The same visual result as 4xMSAA when 2xMSAA is selected and at the same performance as 2xMSAA. 8xMSAA when 4xMSAA is selected....etc, you get the idea.

    If you can use it (GTX 900's), all you have to do is enable MFAA in the nvidia control panel and ingame select 2xMSAA for the same 4xMSAA visual result.

    I wonder how this will work with SGSSAA? I.e. if 2xMSAA (with MFAA enabled) and 4xSGSSAA instead of 2xSGSSAA....or not.

    I understand MFAA currently only works with the 20 titles that NVIDIA have added to the hidden white list.

    Well that sucks. Wonder if nvidia would be willing to add rf2 at some point in the future.

    So it have to be managed ingame too (I guess this is not NVidia which distribute game right to use it)? I thought we could overwrite AA game settings (replace all settings by: xx) like lot of us do through NCP or Inspector...

    I don't understand why all these AA modes have to be supported in-game, just like the mysterious TXAA that NVidia kept bragging about a year or two ago. Now MFAA has to have in-game support as well? WTF?... I thought I read that you enable MFAA from the Nvidia control panel (NCP) and then set regular MSAA from the NCP well, this to me suggested that it was not game dependant. Guess I was wrong.

    The method to enable MFAA in a game, you are correct Spinelli. You must also be correct regarding independence of the game. But if that is true, then how is it enabling for some games and not others? .exe name?

    I think Nvidia knows by the exe name, all your GPU settings are based on that, I believe. For eg. If you set up a profile for Nvidia inspector, it purely goes by the program's exe name to determine which profile to use.

    If that's true, then there's hope to jerry rig the non white listed game profiles to use MFAA.
