    Good job so far.

    You can get the road normal from 3 points. Center-point Edge-point and other center-point.

    Code:
      local  centerPoint1, edgePoint, centerPoint2
      NormalV= centerPoint1 + ( cross (edgePoint-centerPoint1)  (centerPoint2-centerPoint1) )

    Why normalize the 3dsmaxPerp ????? and pathVector? you loose the lengths of vectors..
