You may have seen me ask if there's a fix to this or if there is anything I'm doing wrong when packaging an rFmod file to have this issue, and I've been told it's a program bug. Surprised no one has reported it yet, I think the reason for that is cos this bug doesn't occur everytime you package a mod, but basically sometimes I'm trying to package a mod file, and I select all the vehicles, but only like 3 of the cars are there, and I have to package it quite a few times before it eventually works with all the cars I asked it to load. This has to be sorted out cos one day, a simracing league is going to package a mod, some of the cars are missing, and they won't realise till the race when someone complains that their car is missing. As Noel said in the thread "One day it's gonna ruin someone's race"
+1 It's reported before. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/22453-Build-880-Hosting-and-Vmod-Bugs I think: - The Vmod-cars-missing bug - The nissan 370z only shows the 370z dutch in the timing table bug. (Same with the vette 2009-2010) - When setting up the server and remove a car class (for example make only the Abarth 500 available) doesn't work bug. Are all releated... Luckely: there are always work arounds...
Mas2.exe from build 798: Download Click here Copy/past the Mas2.exe from Build 798 into your rFactor2/Support/Tools folder... (Save your current Mas2.exe file as a back up first. It's best to copy it back before you update your install) This workaround still works like charm (for me)... Note: Just before you click package: Make sure all the cars you need are highlighted/selected !!! If you don't want to use a car(s) or class! You must do it at this point by not select/highlight them.
@ISI while your at it... how about a "select all" tab for the car selection...having to click each car to highlight it everytime is a pain
I know. It's an .exe file. Don't worry! It's not malicous. It's just Mas2.exe that came with build 798.
This has been driving me crazy! Lol it's also not loading all the track versions , this after using CTRL to highlight all of them ! Cars and tracks not being loaded , we have a indy 500 type oval event with the D12's at Indy , I have to custom build the rfm to allow all the oval rules , pace car , cautions ectt then this bug had me spending hours trying to get everything to show ! One thing I also noticed us if the car list gets shortened the mirrors don't work either ! I thought ok I can't get all the cars but the 7-8 teams that do load might be enough but when I load the server and join the cars have no mirrors ! Thx for the link to the old MAS 2 Gijs ! I'll grab it after work and see if it helps!
There is work around to this problem. You can use Dedicated server prototype to create vmod and host that vmod with ordinary dedicated server, con is that you can not rename that vmod (MPXXXXX)
And it only lets you select veh or loc types. Some people need to also add snd cmps too. It also lacks custom rFm, icon, custom names, version numbers, ect. But the tool is much more user friendly. Right now it looks like the best work around is MAS2 from 798. Man I wish ISI would give us APIs for this stuff.
Bug is still not fix 100% It's ok when using default rfm. But it's showing different cars when i use a custom rfm file (based on the B930 default.rfm) Copy/pasted Mas2.exe from build798, and every thing was OK the first time.
Hi, the issue of missing teams is always here using the b946 ... I put again the 798 mas2.exe to solve the issue.
I always use a custom rFm. It's interesting to hear that it works fine as long as you use the default rFm. That may help with debugging.
Would someone be willing to provide a download link to the Mas2.exe from build 798? The link above is no longer working. Trying to find a solution to having the SLS safety car with the FR3.5 and still have working mirrors.
You can download the lite build of 798 and then when you run the installer just put in a dummy temp folder and then drag mas2 out and delete what is left over. Or you can open the installer with 7zip and extract MAS2 manually. https://www.dropbox.com/s/oiv2sq012fi8glr/rfactor2_litebuild_798.exe?dl=0
