SOLVED MAS2.exe crashes after clicking "New Mod"

I have been normally using MAS2.exe for creating components and vmods until this afternoon.
Now, as the title says, it crashes some seconds after clicking on New Mod or Edit Mod.
I think it has got corrupted after an unrelated crash when packing some components.

I have been trying to find info about a solution in order to reset normal functioning but I cannot find it.
The migration to studio397 forums has provoked many broken links which is not helping in the task.

Any solution?

This an old problem with an easy fix.
Users\name\appdata\roaming\ pkginfo.dat is corrupt, delete that file and the MAS tool will work again

No I didn't.

I typed mas2.exe crash within the search.
I had tagged this thread with "mas2.exe" "crash" to whcich I just added "error".
I would recommend tagging the other thread as well.

Happend to me. (first time for years)
.. and got it fixed, by deleting pkginfo.dat thanks to all @SmellySkidmark and MaD_King
