    Hi all,
I was informed in another thread, that one can edit the value for the "skidhard" texture in the track's tdf file.
Increasing the value should increase how long they stay/how many are drawn.

My question is, is there a quick way to do this? Or must the whole thing be unpacked and repacked? (doing this to an existing track)
I've done a fair bit of searching and most information is pretty confusing. Most of the tutorials I find are aimed at those who have already been modding rF1, so I guess I should start there.

In the post, they made it sound so simple, like making a car skin, but I get the impression that this is not so.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks
    rocket

Thanks Rastas, I was pretty sure.
Not something I think Im currently qualified for.
Plenty of documents I need to read first. I'll start at rF1.
Also, if I understand rF packaging to some degree, changing any single value will change the mod ID and render it unusable online, unless I share it, which will require permission.
I understand that immense work goes into making a track, conversion or scratch. Especially when its only one or two people making it, people who have jobs and families, and I am greatly appreciated.
Hopefully track modders will do some testing to find out what value can be used for lower end systems so all can enjoy the track, but we can have more. Or maybe by that point I will have figured out how to mod rF2. :p:D
    Thanks again.
    Cheers
