Make Historic F3's Great Again!

Fun racing as always, track did indeed take a little learning but thankfully has few enough real corners that it's not impossible (thanks damage off!).

Good little battle with 3-4 cars most of the race, Antonis had one of his adventurous moments right in front of me and I lost it, Paul took a lead, then got hampered by someone else coming a cropper and I ruthlessly took advantage (I was on a PB, didn't want to slow!). I backed off so he was clearly in sight again, but his rhythm was shot and I ended up with a healthy lead.

Then I had my own moment, gap came right back down, but I managed to hold it together to the end. Several eyes-closed moments running through bushes, I'm sure there's a sign there I must have barely missed each time (think Antonis got it though).

Great cars when you hook them up through corners occasionally, never gets old... ironically...

Cheers!

Still close to the best cars in rF2 (with the BT20) and you're right, they never get old.
Good to see Lazza hasn't got too rusty and pulled off a comfortable win in the end.
Back to an old favourite this week. Good old Bridgehampton (Autumn). Really do like this place.
** Both servers will be running races this week.** See server 2 topic for details.

Also to Sam, BB couldn't remember which cars you were wanting so let us know and that'll be the following week's event.

Howdy, I went to join the server and I guess I'm missing content. So, what are we running? It's probably the track. What is "Grand Prix Course"?

Thanks

Really love Jarama even tho I had a bad race. Still a fun place.
This week another one I like, we're off to Goodwood Revival as usual in our trusty F3's.
Need to have a chat with everyone to see if there are any ideas for getting more on the grid.

That was an absolute blast. So much close racing. That's why I love these cars. Ok so next week we are off to Hampton Downs (NZ). Short and easy layout to learn but quite tricky to master. Can really lose lots of time with tiny mistakes.

Unfortunately race was cancelled this week due to grid size.
Something different this week as we jump into some old V8's for a very short blast around Crystal Palace. These things are beasts so get some laps in.

Tricky combo but was great fun. Some seriously quick guys for both servers.
Sticking with these again this week but somewhere slightly easier, Laguna Seca Retro ('68 - '72). Trying to find tracks they may have raced at IRL.
Next week we will be using cars that aren't in the workshop so will post the link later today.

Ok, once I worked out to select the Bathurst version in the car list things turned out ok :p

Quiet season currently but an historic track day session “race” put the fun into F3 fanatics (which doesn’t have fun in it, but also has F3 rather than Holden/Ford, so who cares!), had a blast rolling around the mountain. Sometimes literally.

Think Cookie had an edge all session - perhaps helped by being in less of a boat than poor old Paul - and took a deserved win ;)

What a blast that was. It’s hard to balance fun and competition, but glad I made it for this one.

Was nice to get all nostalgic. Used to own a 351 XA Coupe and my memory tells me it was eerily similar in handling.
Our last week of V8's this week. This one's a bit different from the last couple. The Cosworth DFV that was developed for Colin Chapman in 1967. Yep. we're in the 1967 F1's around WooChoo's gem, Longford. Hope to see ya all there.

One of those weeks. Building up nicely all week, woke up raceday and it was all gone. Around 1.5s off for some reason. Showed in my driving too.
Anyway end of the month of madness and back to the F3's this week. Yes folks our little historic F3's around 60's Oulton should get us back in the groove nicely. Cya all there .

Ok back to posting on the forums again.
This week we are having another try around Sandevoerde 1967 in the F3's. We were here back in Feb and had a good turnout for the week's practice but not enough for a race start on the day. Shame as it's a great layout. Hope to see ya all there.

Well that was some close racing last week. Cookie and I were pretty much stuck to each other from about lap 2 til the finish line.
So this week a track that I apparently haven't raced in 4yrs. VIR Patriot course. Very small track but also will keep you very busy.
