Heya nonamenow, I'm bumping the F3s up to the F2s... or is that, down to the F2s
Hope everyone likes being "Bumped Up a Class".
'Tis on the track you'll find me..

Sorry cookie, didn't read about your wheel til too late. Strange, I lost my gears as soon as I shifted coming to the chicane which took a while to come back and then again a few turns later. Ended up off track and going through a hole resulting in me morphing to pits with no engine. Wouldn't start no matter what. By time I saw your problem it was too late to restart really.

**Is anyone still running Win7 here? I ask as next weeks track won't work on W7.** If so I'll pick another.

Yeah, but the updated one is better. Hoping to not have to switch to the old one. Thanks anyway.

Due to a hardware malfunction I'm not sure whether I will be able to race this week. Waiting to hear back from Pagnian. Though to avoid downtime I may have to void the warranty (or risk it anyway) and fix it myself.

After this week I will be taking a break for a couple of weeks. Unless Bryan wants to run races in that time, I will just put the cars up with some tracks on rotation.
I need to try and find a way to boost numbers as it is expensive to run the server for only a few turning up to race. I'm going to get together with a couple of others and see what we can come up with.

Update: As my wheel has died (disgusted that it only lasted 10yrs:D) I'm not sure when I'll be back racing. I do have an old G27 in the cupboard but I can't bring myself to using that. I can probably come up with the $$$ but at the moment there's not much available here that I want. The T598 isn't here yet and I need a bit more feedback on that. R5 bundle is a great price but on back order till April next year. Pretty much everything else blows the budget.

    Done. Servers are up again.
Server 1 is the F3's with a heap of tracks you can vote around.
Server 2 is a selection of wilder cars around a heap of tracks you can vote around.
    Enjoy. I will be back.

    Hi nonamenow,
it seems server 1 an 2 have different versions of Dundrod, V2.90 and 3.0. Is there a special reason for this?
Both versions are not up to date. The workshop says V3.01 is up to date (from Sept. 30, 2024). That's what I have installed.
Server 1 runs with V2.90. This was downloaded with "GetMod". But this didn't work for V3.0 on Server 2.

No reason other than I didn't notice. Will get to it soon. Frantically trying to organise a wheel.

So after some frantic searching I was able to find a 599xx Evo Alacantra rim off a T300 that a guy was selling which has got me back on track. Can't believe I got one local. Only 20min from home. The trusty old T500 still lives. Seriously a new wheel has to be my next buy.

As nothing has been chosen for this week I've decided that whatever track is up when I wake up on raceday then that's what we'll race for this week.

Ok guys, if you haven't tried Pau Arnos then grab it as we will be there next week. (Still the "race day raffle race" this week) Very tricky circuit to learn even though it isn't very long. Not much in the way of straights.

Let's see: pedals are fixed, shifter is fixed, button box is mostly assembled, and I've got just enough rust scraped off that I can stay on the track.

    Good chance I'll be there!

Great to hear mate. Sounds a bit like me. Haven't gotten around to fixing the shifter so on paddles this week. Wheel seems good now, though I'm surprised that 2cm wheel rim difference was so noticeable. First time in 10yrs I've had a chat button working on my wheel or pretty much any button for that matter.

I'm up, it's race day and Bridgehampton is still up. So that's what we're racing today. Yay. Love the place.

All that time on track before the race and then the throttle acted up towards the end of qualifying. I had converted the old CSL Elite throttle & clutch to Hall effect sensors last weekend and used them all week without problems, so was annoyed when the throttle would only give me 70%. I quickly realigned the magnet on the throttle and it lasted through lap 1 of the race, but then was giving me only 50%, so abandoned. Instructions I followed said the magnets wouldn't shift, so I've now applied duct tape and hopefully that will be my longer term solution.

Feel for you mate. You put in a lot of laps for it to go and die at the crucial time. Fingers crossed.
