    It's... interesting lol

Jumped on last night to check it was right but mainly to test some tyre temperature stuff. It'll take a few laps to get the layout basics but it reminded me of NFS: Porsche Unleashed (which isn't a bad thing, was good fun back then). Should match the cars nicely. I do suspect I may need to change from default setup though, that uphill half (lol) will punish a bad rev range.

Yep, gearing takes some tweaking to get right. These F3's love the place.

I know we say this just about everywhere we go in these but ...F3 Historics + Bryce Canyon = As close to simracing heaven as I can get. Awesome layout in these.

Was turning up quite late but happy to get half a grip on the track and run around at the back sweeping up and providing some entertainment for anyone who fell off and into my clutches - but half a lap into my first lap in practice I got a call out and had to go to work. Next time :)

    Turns out:
    • I haven't done enough laps of Estoril in rF2 for the modern layout to overwrite the old in my head, and
    • A 'conservative' 4th gear approach to T1 leads to a swift track exit.
    Bit of relearning required.

What it is that compels us to attempt a 4th -> 2nd gearchange at a corner we didn't do it once during practice? It really did seem like a good idea at the time.

Anyway, threw away a fairly safe looking 3rd, but got back into 4th before the end of the race and hit a PB by 6 tenths so not a bad day out. Fun racing :)

I just threw it away without bothering with the gear change. :D Yes. Fun racing. You had the pace for the podium spot, Lazza.

Man I wish, my stuff is in a box in the garage, don't even know where and no sign of moving yet. House is for sale but no offers.

Never raced at Monza 10k before, and I guess I still haven't. Quick tweak on the gears because these old tracks demand it, slow getaway from the rear after not making qual, then on lap 1 the parabolica became hyperbolic and I was involved in a 3 car collision. No point from there on this sort of track. Hopefully we have some better driving circuits coming up.

This week we're at a much shorter track guys. Racing at Magnificent Park National GP circuit. Lots of drifting fun....

Great racing, found half a second in qual which is good and bad, got away with Paul in the early laps and was happily sitting on his tail watching him lock his tyres and push through corners as I tried to save mine, aiming to have a strong second half of the race. Then I touched the grass under braking and slid sideways for 50+ metres, and spent the rest of the race with some flatspots trying to catch up from 4th spot. Paul's tyres started letting go so I followed cookie past, then got a run on cookie out of a corner I had a good few tenths advantage but had struggled to find space to use it, then had too much gap to catch Jim who'd also looked after his tyres and was setting good times.

Excellent wheel to wheel, close action, 4 of us within 2 seconds with 10 mins to go, good stuff

Yep, was a great race. Excellent circuit for these. Had a blast racing with Lazza but like he said, I cooked my fronts and spent the rest of the race with massive understeer. Still enjoyed every lap though.
