Make Historic F3's Great Again!

I love them. Had a few runs with DD in the stock ISI cars. More worried about the ping. Between 290 and 390.

 

Mills Outer Loop today.

High ping can be suffered through. Main thing is to avoid being close to other drivers when you're changing direction (corner entry) and not weave around.

 

Am trying to connect to the server but it's downloading ISI_EVE_HISTORICS_1968 but I'm already subscribed to both S3987-ISI versions. Is this normal the 1st time you try to connect? i also got the skinpack from the workshop.

Exciting race today! The front 4 swapped lead many times as small mistakes (and an occasional bigger one) were made.

 

I LOVED your post race comment, Emery: "Mistakes were made." In spite of/because of the mistakes, the race was very entertaining. Impeccably gentlemanly racing, but a few little oopsies. Great stuff. Hats off to all who joined, but esp. to Bryan for keeping this going. . . with the help of the occasional donation. Is it time for a reminder about how to help $upport you, Bryan?

 

I saw this server the other day but you are running the older content...not the updated F3s. Are you going to change the cars over?

Just checked, Bryan runs a version 1.50 current workshop is 1.98. But it's a different name, 1.50 is 'ISI_Eve_Historics' and 1.98 is 'Historic Challenge Eve 1968'. Then there's Durges skinpack 1.50 called 'Historic F3 community pack', but I think that's optional for joining the server. I don't know where to get 'ISI_Eve_Historics or the Sparks 1.50, I just have them. Now I'm totally confused.

 

I did a clean re-install for the new year: only the new updated content and the few mods I actually use. On joining your server I get the message about missing content - the 1.50 version of the F3s - but seeing as I have the newer version, I don't really want to add old content back in. Will check in a gain when things are all square regarding the versions.

 

Here you can get the 1.50 versions, but you have to uninstall the newer ones before you install these ones, i guess.

Durge's pack is full Eve F3 cars, not just skins. Originally included the graphic fix for the windscreen.

 

Maybe we need to run what's current in the Workshop. Are all these versions one of the factors in low participation?
I just checked, and I have V. 1.98 from the workshop and ran on Saturday with no probs.

 

Apologies, I got my time conversion screwed on race day. Will try to get on for some praccy @ 5:00pm EST which should be 8:30am tomoz here. So 10 hrs from now... If I get that right I might even make the race....hehehe

**EDIT** I have no probs joining the server, didn't have to download anything except the vmod

I'll be winter steelhead fishing... today we're getting 1+" of rain, so the next few good weather days will be best fishing opportunity since the rain draws them in from the ocean. I have to take those opportunities when they come.

 

Where can I find the details for this race? Damn fun last weekend racing these beasts!
