    @Baked Bean
Yes, the brakes force is low, i get a 2.3Gs peak "deceleration" at best, on the Nords; that's lower than the GTR, the C6 GT2 & the Megane.
I did 6'15 with half of the boost, a sub 6 is possible on full boost.

I've updated the VirtualOnlineRacers.net (VOR) server with Adelaide, Sao Paulo, Portugal and Sebring.

The Porsche had Iron brakes, so max should be 700-750C, while the Mazda have Carbon Fiber disks, so it could go up to 950C

Iron brakes shouldn't glow because it means that they are melting.

Played with these last night for a bit. Quite fun. Decent visuals. Physics maybe a tad forgiving? Really looking forward to the finished product with whatever other cars are added.

I agree with you, but did you run them with a setup that wears their front rear tires at a similar rate?
If you do, you'll see there a not so forgiving.

My main criticism at the moment is that I feel that they lap way to fast (1-22-5 at Sao Paolo by AI at 100 %) and have too much grip.

But I am pretty sure that future versions will improve.

    Cheers.

Hi Petros - Your team has done a great job! I tried these last night and was worried that it would be too much for a newbie like me.

But God these cars are fun to drive!

Tried them on road America and couldn't leave my PC for hours.

    Cannot wait for full release!

Please don't post real-life videos - they make me wish to travel to the future where our sims drive realistically :(

Yes, always the reason for RHD in race cars... Because most tracks are clockwise, therefore a majority of right-hand corners... Rule of thumb for race car designers I guess - although today 50/50 lateral weight distribution is easily 'achieved', because the level of engineering is that high today.
Back then it was more essential. Today many sports cars are RHD, Audi, HPD, Ligier, Zytek/Gibson, Morgan, Oreca 03 etc. :)
Still there are cars where the distribition is different, where the driver has to be in the left side, because the rest of the components are installed in the right side, such as supercapacitors= Toyota, Battery pack= Porsche... But it also just be cooling arrangements, batteries, oil containers, fuel tanks, fire extinquishers, all that jazz... 458 GTE, 991 GTE are LHD
But the center of gravity is hurt 'more' by a driver than a fuel/oil tank, supercapacitor, since a driver is taller, more upwards in the car. So still, designers can make LHD viable all about priorities I suppose :)

One could perhaps say that great and successful LHD race cars are more of an achievement sometimes... From my pocket engineering approach of course :p

Interesting Bjorn... I just thought it was because only proper countries drive RHD vehicles on the left :p

When it comes to senseless countries and the choice of steering wheel allocation it has nothing to do with weight distribution and how much speed you can carry through right hand turns ;)
