A point to note is that the specific video card that is being used should be selected instead of "AUTO" There have been reports of FPS improvement with selecting the card being used then checking all other settings are applied. After doing this after the system is restarted the panel when opened will firstly show "AUTO" again so need to again select the specific card and check that correct settings have been applied.
Seems like "AUTO" always shows first just another annoying quirk of the game.

I don't have it on auto as it was previously selecting the onboard GPU and boy was that a slideshow!

Disabled gsync, no difference at all. I did run pc2 and ac and I did notice the exact same issue there.

Try your monitor at 60Hz and look if GPU usage is 100%

You mean your GPU is not at 100% in those other games either? It may be that 1080 Ti is overpowered for 1080p resolution and that you get a bottleneck in the BUS/CPU. Although last time I checked, AC uses a lot less bus than rF2, so it shouldn't be the issue there.

I did this and if anything GPU usage dropped a little. I dropped my mild overclock back to standard and that made no difference.
I cranked up wolfenstein the new colossus to see what a non sim got, it is on Vulkan and it had 200+ fps and GPU usage between about 78 and 98.

Try to make test with Kombustor it has1% buss-usage and you should get 98-100% GPU load.

Hey Ari, i don't know which tests to do, there are plenty to choose from but not sure which show the gpu usage.

    Cheers

Here we go, GPU usage was between 86-88 the whole time.

Check usage % of each CPU core when you run this test, for example from task manager. Because it still sounds like a CPU or BUS limit is at play unless your GPU is defective.

Hey stonec, I ran the test and with task manager open on screen while doing it GPU usage was between 95-97 when I closed task manager it went back down to 86-88. CPU usage showed one core quite highly loaded, one other around half and the rest were low. Not sure what this means though.

Gpu-z render test had a max of 96%
Firestrike had between 96-98 GPU usage. When it did the combined physics and graphics test the GPU usage dropped to 44-91 but around the 50% mark for most of it which is where it sits in game as well.
