Lola T280 by PIXSIM [WIP]

downloaded this and put it in the mod manager ok, says installed yes, got into game no sign of it anywhere, could only find the old lolat280, so thinking they might be a conflict i decided to delete the old lola, but when i tried to do that it said cant delete in use by 2 mods, I`ve supported ISI since SCGT but to be honest think they are getting this one wrong

Willz, some downloads install OK even if they are not complete. Check file size and re-download if necessary.

Thanks a lot for your expert helping hand PetraGTC, the result of your collaboration with PIXSIM is just brilliant.
This mod is really a joy to drive, one of the best without doubts.

The very good default setup makes this car a love at first drive, I liked so much the car that I searched some info about it on the net.

The car feels agile and powerful as was the real car that was able to outqualify the Ferrari PB312.

Alas this car was run without sufficient budget, was hampered by it's motor not suited to endurance racing and only won secondary events. The charismatic Jo Bonnier was killed at his wheel.

You can't just delete the original Lola car, it came in 3 separate files, Vehicle, Talent and Sound, so if you try to delete just the vehicle it'll say in use by other mods.

Only able to test briefly but seems better than perfect so far. LODs are amazing. GTX 760 all default graphics driver settings everything maxed in rF2 and getting 50 FPS from back of grid at mid-OH with 60 FPS soon after start. Incredible. For me rF2 = T280 so this is the most amazing development ever for me. Many many many thanks, Petra and Pixsim for this!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with you.

I made a quick race mixing the Lolas T280 (default setup) with the powerful Howstons at Mid-Ohio, manual shifting, and I had a truly convincing view of what RF2 can offer nowadays (a lot). I was a fan of the CSGT mod in RF1, and what a race I had against AI.

It is one of the best cars available, I hope someday we will have a full grid of sport cars of the 70's.

Thanks again to Petra and Pixsim.

Got these babies up on the F3 Fanatics' server.

These cars are fantastic!

Enjoy them on our server today... If you haven't downloaded the T280, the server will deliver them up for you!

cheers steve, went into the installed folder and deleted all the lola mod files, just as we used to do it in rf1, cant really see why we need a mod manager that cant manage mods. anyway thanks again

Uninstalling the older components worked flawless and correct like always here!
Maybe you had a vmod installed where the old Lola was a content of....?

Edit: Thanks Petra!
Still miss the backfire sounds though...

A quick question... just curious if the back wheels have been fixed from popping through the rear body panel as it was in the original PIXSIM mod?

Actually i dont think so. As i said, i didnt touch the physics, and the whole car is above zero height (all rf2 cars are at z=0, for correct shadow reflections and for proper bumps and rebounds).

Mmm... it would appear not according to Petra`s post above...

Ahh ok, thanks for the reply Petra... :)

It`s a pity as it`s something that always took that little bit (graphically anyway) away from the mod for me...
