Thanks for your reply. It could be my AI aggression is turned up too high (90)? It's quite an absurd place to attempt an overtake, imo. The crashes happen with the two URD mods, the Meganes and WSR 3.5. One car tries to overtake on the left coming into the first part of the chicane, but instead smashes into the tyre stack, causing mayhem for the following cars. It's quite gnarly actually, coming from behind the pack or mid field, knowing that if someone tries an overtake into the chicane, a world of pain will be upon me.. Plus the following laps under the safety car gets boring after a while when I'm certain it'll happen every race. Is there some way to "tell" the AI to not attempt overtaking at certain corners?
You could try having a drivers briefing before the race, but they'd probably just start crashing on the second lap rather than the first.
On that note, I believe (not 100% sure, can't test now) that the marshall's flags go through the roof they are standing under. I believe to have seen it when I was driving under safety car (couple of AI flipped in the chicane cause they tried it 2 wide )
Yes. Marshals are locked to their animations and they're suited to work mostly behind low barriers. I had to reduce a bit the scale of marshals to limit the issue but a bit of intersection with flags up is still present. Honestly not a big deal.
Maybe not a big deal at all Tuttle, I agree, but still something I hope will be fixed up. We all want rf2 to be perfect.
Not really worrying Tuttle but good to hear these things will be looked at. I didn`t really think for a second that they`d be left, just keeping you guys on your toes...
Are these as intended? First image is during the day... not sure why the night sky? View attachment 10406 The last set of images are during the night...3 to 4 AM!!! One can see the sun cast a showdown... I think if it was the moon would be more of a cold light. View attachment 10407 View attachment 10408
Some things I noticed, some mentioned already I know... Reflection in the left hand hairpin under dry conditions as if it's raining. o0thx11380o shows this in his post. Quite noticeable, using High road reflections. Shadows from other cars show through elevation changes under wet track, particularly in the downhill right. You can see through the ground. Shadows misaligned / floating cars. Odd wet track behavior - possibly a engine issue (dont race in the rain much due to the spray looking like it's 8 bit) - starting on a wet but drying track with not a cloud in the sky we dried most of the track out, certainly the racing line. Despite not a cloud in the sky there were random patches of wetness in the downhill right suddenly half way through the race. Funnily enough, it was at turn in and power application point, but not at the center of the corner (where you are furthest left). Racing line / dry line looks noticeably blockier than previous tracks. Lot more stair stepping visible with the reflections, rather than having a smooth line.
Just driven this for the first time. All I can say is the HG6 with clutch & H-Shifter on the long config is a sim experience all should try. Brilliant. Well done.
I get totally natural lighting, but the racing line doesn't get dark, it gets lighter. Do you have HDR on or off? What profile if yes?
Night shot - HDR is on but no profile is selected... I can see the sun just over the horizon... But non HDR produces same result.
