Probably already been 'Wished', but adding in the Wish List area.. A set number of tires for the Quals and Race. ie Drivers have 4 sets to use, 1 in quals leaving the same tyre and another 3 tires spare. An idea.. Sure, with the new tyre model people will be more careful on tires, but with a limited set, it could add a little more excitement to those strategies.. What it can do, is also have it set for say 1 set of Softs and the other Hards as they currently are the real V8 Supercars series. Lets face it, if the mod had a choice of tyre, most will choose the quicker tyre, this will have people rethink when to use those tires and or know they only have a set few.
This has to be a high priority option. As said, tyres are one of the most if not the most important single aspect in a professional motor racing weekend. Tyre management is an integral part of strategy and effects all categories.
This would be an awesome feature. ALOT of racing series allow limited sets of tires throughout a weekend.
+1 for realism! all ISI has to do is develop the main mechanic of having the mod makers choose what tires are available, and how many for qualifying+race, or independent from each other.
+1000 All Race Series have a limit for a weekend. Would be an awesome addition to realism of rFactor.
Definatelly, that is one of those "a must have" things. I was surprised when I realized that it wasn't available already in rFactor 1.
Yes +1 on this, an option not to auto change tyres when returning to the garage so you can make adjustments to your setup and repair damage then still go out on the same tyres. would be great for testing performance of tyres for longer races where you might want to do 30 or 50 laps on a set before changing, currently if you make a mistake on a long test run it's start again with new tyres but an option not to change tyres in the garage means you could test tyres for long stints and still make changes to your setup.
+1 How about gravel traps you can get stuck in, car recovery and repair taking time off sessions too?
