More screenshots conversion will take some time. This is not a update file version but a conversion circuit.
I did say I was planning a new version. In fact, at one point I was modeling the LONG layout that was never built for the first version. The track ribbon was done. But, we started getting licenses for tracks and those required (and still do) my/our full attention. So, I PERSONALLY have no problem with a conversion of the rF version. Hopefully at some point things will settle down and there will be time for ISI to do a V2.0 for rF2... Conversion is looking good so far. Make sure you make use of the terrain blending stuff--SO many transitions would look so much better using blending than they did in the original. Cheers... Scott
Looking forward to the conversion but it`ll be good to have an ISI version too, if it can be done that is.
Good news on new licensed tracks(too bad they havent been annouced ), hope someday that "LONG layout" of Lienz will see the light of day.
I'd suggest making grass brighter. Grass is often well exposed to sunlight while trees self-shadow themselves and appear generally darker. If you make your grass this dark, then your trees will have to be very dark to match it. Here are some pretty radical examples of bright grass / ground and dark trees (Poznan Circuit) : You can probably find some examples where grass is as dark as trees, but that doesn't happen often. In general, you need to assume grass will be noticeably brighter. If you're still not convinced, try imagining the opposite - dark grass and bright trees
I agree with K Szczech, take a look on this shot. You can compare dark trees with very bright grass. link1 And don't be afraid in using strong, bright and intense colours.
I have hundreds of my private photos with similar grass, even more bright and more saturated. Thiis one have probably to much yellow, but not much. (textures are created from my own photos) I don't know how grass looks like in Portugal, but I saw similar grass in Poland many times IMHO, more life is needed in your grass texture But that's your track and your choice.
This texture is based on my photo which I did in Poland during last summer. My photo looks exactly the same. That's probably sand that yellow colour. Anyway, as I said, it's your track, you're the boss here
I must add to this "grass" conversation. I'll have to add that the grass on the hill in question is pretty much how it looks here in Oklahoma about late June during a dry summer. Pretty much spot on. However I do understand that I have no reference to grass color outside of the US.
I'm far from telling people how grass should look like. My grass is very far from perfect too. It was just an example / inspiration photo to show difference between dark trees and bright grass. Cheers
