You was out when we started to have major lag issues, people disconnecting all the time and multiple same-names, one guy said we had 44 drivers lol.

So I rebooted and we did race2, should have posted that here, sorry mate.

But it was great fun indeed, skippies rule :)

    Excellent:)
    here's a pretty decent setup:

    1:06/05 is a good pace.

keep the throttle going wherever you are, really helps the car weightshift/movement/stability. rest is all about being smooth :)

hadn't seen this thread, but as far as I could see was the bussiest server in the lobby with stock content, so joined (only in time for 2nd race though :p ) Had zero practice, and actually hadn't driven the cars for months. I had only been doing karts recently :p Then was lucky enough to only have 4 or 5 laps in warmup for race. So my pace wasn't too good.

Race start was great. Everyone was being cautious (but not so much to lose lots of positions). It must have been the cleanest start I ever experienced on a public server, no matter what game :) In the race as well everyone was so clean and fair to each other, it was just awesome. Had some fights, mainly with people who were quicker, but spun of track. Very clean fights as well, lots of respect for each other.

In the end the game brought up my pit menu, and 'requested' pit, because of a low fuel level. I guess I could have made it to the end, but the Kart HUD I still had selected wasn't of good use, so pitted just to be sure. That pretty much ended the fights, and in the end I was one-and-a-half lap or so behind, in 9th out of 10 finishers. Still, greatly enjoyed myself tonight (If only I had more time to play, would love league racing again, but atm I'm probably playing 2-3 times a month only, and on different times/days each time as well :( )

I wish to thank everyone for the amazing racing! I had no time to test the track with the skippy recently, so, used practice and qualify to learn it. I was less than 2 seconds slower than the poleman, and this is good to me. The first race was smooth, pilots on the track have been cautios but willing to fight, I was able to end 6th mainly because I've made less mistakes than my opponents. On race 2 I was a bit tired, and lost focus, I've spinned the car 4 times in 4 laps at the same turn, obviously It took some time to tell myself to keep calm and stop being stupid, in the end I've finished the race, but I've been lapped from the fastest 5 pilots. Skippys are very fun cars and an optimal learning tool, racing them is amazing.

We try to coach drivers to be careful but in the end, in public racing as we did last night, its more luck then wisdom having such clean races. last night we where lucky with all drivers, just 4 league members, the rest where joiners. and only one causing some trouble across the board lol.
Maybe the limitations of the skippy (as apposed to a modern F1 car for example where everyone will overdrive) also helps.

But the races where very much like our league races indeed in terms of fair and clean driving and I was pretty exited this happened in public as well :)
