... and the reason I referenced backseat driving, is - again, as with many topics we might talk about - we don't know what's going on internally. That goes for everything from their plans, what they're already doing, what their strategy is regarding release features and post-release changes, and even mitigation strategies if things aren't going the way they'd hoped. @stonec most people own most sims, and will move to where the action is. The few who won't, don't care anyway.
Most likely it will be a commercial disappointment, but a disappointment, it will have nothing to scratch with the factor, I hope I am wrong too many expectations placed on it, it will be another codemaster
I dont think the actual "issue" will be if its a bad, good or outstanding product. The truth is there's only a certain size market for a standalone PC endurance sim racing game. Hopefully that market will be large enough to sustain S397/LMU and therefore rF2
LMU will be better than rF2 for sure. But how much better, well we will see in a few weeks And last but not least let's see then how they improve it with some updates, releases etc...
I'm hoping that LMU doesn't have the big yellow car that shows up when new people join online. If it does, it's going to be pitchfork's and torches.
I hope it does have something like the yellow cars in place. Nothing worse than having a fast lap ruined by someone joining the lobby and binning it because of framestutters. You can map a button to load new cars whenever you feel like it, or just return to pits.
Is it like the safety car ? I noticed a bug that can be useful. If the car associated with the SC or the Yellow Box doesn't exist, clients use the first model of the server's list. I've seen users having a GT3 car parked as SC, because they probably have uninstalled or badly installed the Original Chevrolet. Put something random in the filename and you will probably see one model of the session instead of the yellow box, which can be a lot less annoying. I will give it a try.
well the commits are still coming in regular like so somethings happening even if the devs arent saying a word or promoting anything View attachment upload_2024-1-31_18-33-45.png
https://www.racedepartment.com/news...wLupRyyA9TpeQs6MamGdA_3ay8C2ixKv7NEkY0wugneaM lol I knew it…. ! No in game videos 3 weeks from the release.. ! To much silence and now we know why. No VR support and no triple mode either.
Seriously add a small bit to the FAQ about VR explaining why it's not included from Day One and it's fine, but all we actually get is over protective staff in the discord saying the bare minimum so no wonder people get rubbed up the wrong way. I'm prepared to support the team and purchase day one, but I'd like some reassurances as to when we are likely to see VR support.
