including in the specific single year that this track is based on.
you might be a top contender for a printable certificate pdf
If an oval expert can identify the corner and the circuit I could award you both a pdf certificate (if you win)
yes, I think your Ontario explaination has moved ahead of your Darlington guess by a few lengths now, but neither are looking like taking out the prize. I'm not sure if ISI/397 would/could sub-contract a hisoric refit of Indy under their license, or Silverstone for that matterI was unable to post here last night so...
by all means pile on some tenuous links and you'll be in with a shoutMan, you're tough.
Well, there is an Indianapolis corner at le mans.I was unable to post here last night so...
The corner is a 90 degree turn. So that would be Indianapolis. However, ISI has done that one already, so it has to be an Indy like track. That one was Ontario Motor Speedway in California. Mario Andretti won there, so place his picture at the S/F line. That would make the turn mentioned be turn two.
I also didn't think my earlier guess of Darlington was all that convoluted. It was rather straight forward. After all, there was a lot of black in your hint picture at the time.
Is this clue consistent with the fact that Phil Hill retired in his last winning race at Brand's Hatch 1967 BOAC 500?all drivers did race at the venue, including in the specific single year that this track is based on.
Graham Hill did not win at the venue in the specific year.

Might be Watkins Glen
Might be Mont Tremblant (Hill never won there)
Might be Riverside 1966 (Hill never won there)
additional hint:
- one driver is "the odd one out", but in some ways there is no odd one out
- every driver drove at the venue in one particular year
- blank space in puzzle: you might wonder why that area is empty, and indirectly you might find a loose thread to the puzzle.
- you might see who is the odd one out, or who is the key, or who wasn't a winner, or who took the victory
- perhaps some attention can go to the drivers that aren't pointing? Hulme, Andretti, Amon, Surtees and Gurney
- the track will be blue and white like Graham Hill's helmet?
- Graham Hill did race at the venue in the correct year, but he did not win there in that year
- all drivers did race at the venue, including in the specific single year that this track is based on. Graham Hill did not win at the venue in the specific year.
