I have a problem with the launcher, I can´t start the game at all and after making a File Verification some errors appear. The thing is that I played the game last time a week ago more or less and after that did nothing. Game ran great on my PC, no problems at all, just today the game seems to connect me with the servers but non of the buttons to race off-line or on-line as well are working. So I just can´t play. All options in the launcher are greyed out and I cannot click them. Edit: After reading your post, have you considered a hardware issue? Doing nothing and ending up with broken files that fail the integrity check looks like a hard drive failure or at least file system corruption to me. You normally don´t need to reactivate the game if just reinstall it, but since yours is not activated at the moment, you might need to. Cheers, Marcus
My game is activated, it says so in the picture if you look at it above the button for Singe Player. And it also says "connected" which means that my game is activated too. So not sure. My hardware is okay because I can play my 50+ installed games on it with no problems. So...something weird happened to rFactor 2 files. I´ll try some more stuff before re-installing. Thanks anyways.
Hmm, I don´t see anything indicating that your game is activated above the picture for "single player". What I see is a greyed out "Verified" icon, which is blue in my launcher. Also, being connected does not mean your copy is activated, if I remember correctly. Edit: I just moved my account files out of the way, and now my launcher locks just like your, despite being connected, my rF2 is not activated. Also, I would still not rules out an issue with the hard drive or the file system, just because other ganes seem to run fine. As you can see, there are not that many files that failed verification, and if your other games don´t use the damaged files, that may very well exist, the problem is masked by that fact. Damaged files don´t just happen. Maybe it was even a virus, who knows. Anyway, so long as you have failde verification, I´d suggest a clean reinstallation.
As has been said already, your game needs re-activating from the purchase tab. I would also do a fresh install if you have only done incremental updates so far.
Well thanks for the help, but it was as easy as turn off my PC and turn it on again to fix the problem. I was deleting and moving files these days to another HDD, and also I removed and moved tons of Icons to a folder and then I moved them back to the main screen. That maybe caused an issue with the game. But just with rFactor 2 and not my other games. As I said my game was and still is activated since day one of rFactor 2 Beta, and nothing changed. I didn´t need to delete the game or anything just reboot my PC. So FIXED/SOLVED, and I am happy again. ISI, please close this thread.
