I have to wait minutes at a time for the installer/launcher to: A - Start when launched from explorer/browser. B - Install C - Load the purchasing options D - Load the backgrounds for the purchasing options. My system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64, I'm running Comodo firewall on the following setup: Phenom II 945 x4, 4GB DDR3, Radeon HD5750 1GB, 500GB HDD space
Is it the installer and your system, or is it simply the fact that everyone is installing at the same time? i.e. the installer is trying to connect to the purchase information. It is bound to clog up. Unfortunately it might pay to wait till the big rush dies down a bit
The backend server seems to have the bandwidth but is still running terribly slow. We are trying to reconfigure it now. Either way it should be better once we get through the initial wave.
So far I've gone through the purchase, (over the space of approx. 90 minutes) and now I can't get the damn game to let me login or play. This installer isn't the most informative, either. The (cripplingly slow loading and oft-failing) purchase menu seems to think I'm logged in, nothing else (update/play) does. This is giving Battlenet 2 a run for its money in the dodgy installer stakes.
Ah well. It happens. As Gjon said, should be better after the initial wave. Fair enough. Atleast it is released
Still like a turtle in slow motion. Takes from 2-10 minutes between each screen. Any other product and I would have dropped out trying long ago
I am doing this later.. After 4 tries I figure ,,BAH! A Cold Beer and watching Volleyball Babe on ESPN is more interesting then having to sit and waiting on the computer.
