My guess goes towards a small open wheel car...
I really hope they'll eventually implement these features, especially hybrid simulation as the future will probably see more and more of these!
After that any car or track will make me happy
i would prefer a laser scanned track in this particular order:
Interlagos, Montreal, Hungaroring, Spa*,
But, since they have some partnership with mclaren, i think it will be 1988 Senna's car.
as for SPA, aren't APEX working on a version of that? they've already had their thunder stolen by Sebring coming out while they were/are working on a version.
I wish S397 would get together with these groups of modders and sort out who is going to do what track/car and help the modders where necesary to get them up to top notch std.
Or Hakkinen's 98/Hamilton's 2008
Apropos useable historic content - how about a much more original historic Silverstone like only iRacing have scanned?
This version is much more fun to drive than rF2´s modern layout.
AndByTheWay: How about Studio 397 converting (and paying for) the existing Delta Wing car from rF1?
To be used in Garage 56 on Le Mans.
or just F1 2018 to close the case
I'm mind blown by this as well. They're obviously talking about a car
If I understand correctly they will make 3 consecutive announcements.
I think that in these announcements we will have one concerning the scanned laser track, one concerning the MC Laren, and another one on other cars or on various improvements of RF2.
I think we'll have big announcements, but no concrete in 10 days, just announcements. Patience !
Regarding MC Laren, I would see among other things a 2018 F1 and a supercar/hypercar (MC Laren F1).
For the track, Le Mans or SPA seem most likely, the nurburgring/nordschliefe is unlikely, only because it requires much more investment.
If it's not the Nords, I prefer SPA because Le Mans bores me (not enough turns/km) and is only suitable for a small part of the cars.
The prospect of having a road car pleases me a lot, as well as a recent ultra realistic F1.
like for Hakkinen's 1998 mclaren livery ( but far from being iconic as 1988 mclaren). "Modern" f1 i just consider 2002 Michael Schumacher Ferrari's (despite almost giving up to watch f1 at Schumacher dominance).
92/93 Williams also raises my heartbeat. mixed feelings for the 1994 williams
They said fast... So that immediately excludes the F1 2018 McLaren
But... But... Alonso said they could fight!
They've (ISI) already released an F1 car, the Maroussia and it was not the top car in the grid
I don't get the mystery/speculation, it can only be a car and is obviously the original GT40:
- In the top 50 of the fastest cars in a straight line ever.
- Nothing comes close in the iconic department (except some rare exception like the DBR1).
- It is the definition of "competition proven" (The Lola T70 we have is a clone/evo of it but have less victories/trophies due to the difficulty of making such a small and powerful package reliable for endurance events)
I think people are over-analysing words chosen that were probably just the first things that came to the roadmap authors mind
I ve just reserved some seats in the hype train. There are cookies and cakes.
Yep, and then the calamity begins.
I spent all of about3 seconds analyzing.
Should I roll the fluffy dice left or right handed?
Will be the host button working again in the future? It used to be very useful for hosting a quick race with friends without the need to have a dedicated server.
The three hints (iconic, fast, competition proven) are for the three EXPO-announcements, so there is one hint per announcement, not all three for just one.
As many apparently I did not understand well ....
Separate names with a comma.
