Latest Roadmap Update - April 2017!

I guess the only way of knowing when the update goes live is by pressing F5 on the S397 forums for the release notes/news as we will need to choose the Beta option from the game's properties in Steam before steam registers the update.

Unless S397 state otherwise, I will let it update my version of the game & jump in. If I see problems or low performance then I will do a fresh install and see if it changes anything. Just from old habits I always delete the files in the folder CBash & Shaders found in the /Userdata/Log main directory on new builds so I will probably do that too.

-are you guys going to delete it first from steam and do a fresh install for this update when it arrives?
Yes sounds like a plan going to delete and reinstall it Sunday night so come Monday its just the update to download not running any mods until I have a good blast :)

No doubts just want to remove all third party mods and run stock content for while with the update, mainly because I don't know what mods would have been updated etc

there's more than enough stock content for my enjoyment its good quality too
I'll possibly grab the 3rd party stuff (most of which at this point in time is very poor imo) if its converted and everyone saying its very good etc

Marcel Offermans said that naming it rFactor 3 is (currently) not an option, since most licenses (cars/tracks) are valid for the product 'rFactor 2'. This means S397 would have to repay these licenses in order to use them for a different game (rF3).

But rF3 sounds so good!!:p

Look how terrible most rfactor 2 YouTube vids look

Only a few YouTube -rfactor 2 look decent , not sure why rfactor 2 always looks a tad naff on YouTube

Nice that he mentioned improved performance (for his pc)
With pc hardware getting better all the time then we can run at higher settings + devs may continue to enhance visuals off the back of this

Win win
