Released Latest Release Candidate - June 2021

Do you notice these Frame - Spikes - purple peakes ?
I have this problem sometimes, when some cars ont the track, not alone and when the gametime is on afternoon with sunset ingame too.
Has nothing to do with the Grafic settings, low or high, it is the same problem.
I use now the non beta version of rFactor2 and an older Nvidia driver for VR
I play rFactor 2 only with VR, so I need 90Hz and a good framerate here.

I think you still have shadows "on" and probably post-effects as well. If so, then it is well anticipated, because the lower the sun the bigger the shadows. In addition you see some sun rays. This staff "eats" a lot of FPS. I used to play with all the effects, reflections and antialiasing off, but with steam supersampling=300%. I noticed at least on my PC, SS has very minor influence on FPS while great impact on overall appearance. However with open-wheels cars and not "FPS-heavy" tracks I can afford some low effects and antialiasing. So my issue was a bit different - overall decrease of FPS, not occasional peaks.
 
just tried lemans with Oreca, Ligier and GTE's in the rain. First of, lemans have some "rainy" faults at the racing line, no SSR effect at that part. But LMP2's wont overtake when caught behind a GTE, and the LMP2's only do one outlap and then enters pit again, so they never qualify.
(dont mind my bad lap time its hard to keep it on track in this wetness)

Just ran a test to compare track loading times with current release and release candidate:

Multiplayer using a dedicated server.

Track: Algarve Motorsports Park

Cars: Official GTE's

Release candidate: 5min 35 secs

Current release; 2 min 55 seconds.

This is extremely frustrating, even the faster loading time is pretty slow.

Just to add, when joining the server with live drivers, it can then take up to a minute for all cars to load before you can hit do anything at all.
Adding AI has exactly the same effect, and the game becomes unresponsive while they are loading in.

Its not just this track, other tracks, including DLC show similar results, but this one is the worst that I have found.
 
Looking higher made the track reflect a bit weird.

And the FPS drop by ~15 for me when I have an overlay on the replay (broadcast and replay control)

Release candidate build is reverted to the original June 10th build until tomorrow. We found an issue we need to fix.
the current rc has worked for me flawlessly and the ssr effects are great i switch to steam ofline mode so i don't get the automatic update. the previous reflection repair took 6 months

When the user interface starts to load, it first turns black while loading and then goes white and stays that way.

Well, it may be that the first time it takes longer to start, now the load is normal.
