Also on a different note, tried Spa in the wet with GT3, Road reflection set to medium (in VR). Sometimes it felt like the tree shadows were too close on the z-plane, more like a mark on my VR lens than a shape reflected off the road surface further back.

After checking the new RC, I have the following issues:

    a. the initial setup doesn´t recognize my wheel (Logitech G27)
    b. the procedure of asigning commands is totally messed up
    c. the sound of the engine, any engine doesn´t work well.

I rebooted several times my PC, check wheel connections, the sound, etc. Nothing worked. Not even deleting the player JSON file. The above mentioned problems are repeated everytime I started rF2 with the RC installed.

Back to the previous versions till these problems are solved. Atm, rF2 is unusable with the RC installed.

The RC is working pretty well for me.

I've just tried Sao Paulo and the track with water looks like a big mirror that extends outside the track. I'm playing on Linux so it might be different for you. Can somebody try it?

I've raced with ASR F1 1991 cars and there was lots of black smoke behind the cars. This might be related to the car mods.

I had similar issue. I solved it by removing all USB devices except mouse, wheel, pedals and shifter. I also removed VR and opened RF2 on monitor. I'm not sure what exactly helped, but finally I managed to assign all the devices. The button "detect device" doesn't work for me quite a long time, however I still could assign the manipulators.

Thank you for your answer. You did all that with the RC? You plugged in the USB devices with rF2 ON?.

Is there any way to turn off the new SSR and get the old road reflection? I'm dropping from 120-140fps to 60-80fps. I want to take advantage of the other UI updates in the meantime. I tried deleting my player.json file and it eventually prompted me to download the S397 content, so I backed out and reinstated my backup player.json file. Also my max framerate is set to 0.

UPDATE: sorry my error, I had "vehicle max-framerate" set to 0 not "max-framerate". Correcting this setting solved it as previously noted by others.

I was meaning to mention this too on my test at Spa with McLaren 720S GT3, the rain spray form the back of the cars ahead was black, same as when you went off track.

    Me too.
Please you can check sound settings.
I think newUI has changed "number of effects" and "Speaker config" without permission (usually 64 and Headphones)
So I fixed these changed, can heard.
    Try it.

@yashiman it was the first thing I did and noticed the effects had dropped to 1 but still had headphones. I bumped it up to 62 whilst in game but no change. I will check the player.json before booting up today to see what it states.

Sao Paulo just have broken reflections in wet for years. Since puddle system introduction race surface looks like mirror in wet conditions. It is not related to Linux. Try another track

Whenever you see something odd at a third party track, try one of the official tracks. Preferably with official cars. Alexander has the correct answer, it is a problem with Sao Paulo, not the update. You could try and contact the track builder and encourage him to re-do the wet graphics.

With the RC my Thrustmaster TS-PC with TLCM is not recognized and configuration is not possible. Drivers and firmware up-to-date. Is there a solution or switch to non RC?

Delete Player and Controler json didnt help.

In Calibration setting / Rotation Limit Mode i switched to device driver, now wheel is ok!

    1. Yes, with current RC. I had to do this after deleting player.json. But I faced similar issue in the past as well so I already knew the solution.
    2. No, RF2 should be off. I'm not really sure what cause the issue but my guess is I have 6 devices simultaneously plugged in USB ports. Probably this is too many to be correctly recognized by RF2 or some power supply issue. So the goal is to minimize the number of devices plugged into USB ports when first open RF2. After you make all the assignments you could plug back all necessary devices.
    3. Try also what was suggested right above.

    in device manager
    universal bus controller,
USB 3.0 root hub / properties / power options
disable, or unclick the box where it says: allow this computer to turn off the device to save energy

I RECOMMEND DISABLING WHERE THE PERIPHERALS OF OUR USB ARE CONNECTED
