Latest Release 1109 Rain Effects AND MORE!

Hey guys. Tried the C6-R from 2009 today, doesn't seem to have functional wipers. I didn't test it on the rain yet.
Is that car not updated yet?

Cheers

To be sure of having understood.

To use the latest version of the C6 R, I must delete the old version ??

It seems weird that S397 is not made to make it automatic : RF2 is a real gas plant !

---> Should I do the same for other cars ISI / S397, especially GT3 ... (I do not think so ?).

Thank you.

Anything with the ISI prefix will hide the S397 updated version, so make sure and uninstall those.
It's a bit confusing if you have the old ISI content still installed, but this should only happen once, it's all part of the transition. From now on the newer version will always be the one that shows up.

Would you attribute the sudden increase of CTD mishaps during a race event since DX11 got out to the increased demands of DX11 on hardware or is it something that can be fixed/optimized?

Pressing CTRL+F while on track will bring up detailed cpu/gpu info.
CTRL+C your cpu/gpu usage graph.
Also Steam has a built-in fps counter that I have always on, let these be your guide.
You want 60fps at a minimum for smooth gameplay, don't be afraid to test.
There's no optimum setting that is the same for every car/track mod.
Some are heavier than others and # of cars on track also affects fps heavily.

Great tip thank you! I have been doing a little testing this evening (didn't know RF2 had built in fps counter etc) so I've been running MSI afterburner.
With every setting max, including X16 anisotropic and anti aliasing set to level 4 i am able to get 120 + - FPS in fast parts, slow corners around 90FPS, that is running the formula 1 car at silverstone GP circuit. If i drop a couple settings like shadows, shadow blur, soft particles and drop anti aliasing to level 2 i can get around 150FPS in fast parts and 115 in slow corners. I am running a 2560x1080p 144Hz monitor by the way if that makes any difference.

I will do some further testing using the in game counters and post my results up here. I did notice while using MSI aftenurner my GPU usage was only using around 80%, Im sure i read it should be very close to 100%, correct me if I'm wrong?!
Thanks in advance, will post up results tomorrow!!

So i understand this correctly , i need to go to Steam and search ISI workshop and unsub all their content that S397 have i their workshop ?

I can't just unsub all their stuff because there are cars and track that S397 haven't updated and i would like to keep . So it's a matter of having the first post of this thread open and Steam workshop open and clicking back and forth unsubbing as i find them ??

Or have i got this completely wrong and it's a lot simpler than this ?

We'd like to apologize for the ommision of the physics changelog that should have accompanied the latest update of the Marussia. These were changes made almost a year ago, in the commotion of the graphics updates we seem to have let this one fly by.
Some of you had comments about the feel of the latest version, and as always we thank you for the feedback. In fact it caused us to go on a detective mission to find out if something had changed, we searched our changelogs and lo and behold the community was on the ball ;)

I've updated the top post, enjoy! :)

Marussia v1.94
- Tyres updated to the same spec as FISI 2012.
- Engine has small mapping changes.
- Small tyre mass / inertia bugfix.
- Other minor tweaks that mostly have little to no influence on handling, (enabling new features, such as a small reduction in real road multipliers).
