Latest Release 1109 Rain Effects AND MORE!

Just did Silverstone qualy.. in the c7r wow that car feels awesome. But in the wet i quailed 6 sec faster than the ai. At the same setting in the dry i was 2 secs off pole?! This is at 93% i think. is there a ai slow in wet issue, has anyone had this?

The AI on my own server (search for team dc5) is at 106%, in rain i am still more than 2sec faster in Silverstone, but in the dry the AI drives with 106% drives nearly the same level like me and my friends, but still we are always in the first rows

Hi,

I had a look at the rain effects and it looked no different, cleared cbash and the other one, updated NVidia drivers, still same

was testing using spark, Nola/monaco

Marussia v1.94
- Rain Effects added
Radical GT3 v1.997
- Corrected slick tires referring to wrong compound
- Added labels for Soft/Medium/Hard/Wet.
Formula FISI v1.68
- Rain Effects added
- Slightly more accurate inertia in unsprung components.
- Add onboard engine braking maps.
- Slightly softened chassis flex (in bending and yaw stiffness).
- Stop rotating pushrod joints with camber.
- Improved aero force sub-body distribution.
- Tweaked aerodynamic performance.
- Slight adjustment to driveline efficiency.

brilliant chris thanks..

Regarding the new CPM model in the gt cars. Is that not going to be put on all cars, i thought maybe while your updating the FISI seems you've done a lot of physics adjustments?

This !

Not only cpm tyres but new physics technologies.

This is highly desirable for the most realistic simulation of the market ... rain effects or visual enhancements have an interest, yes, but just 10 times lower.

Everything should be a question of priority (realism/performance VS graphics/ergonomics).

More than 50 cars and not even 1/3 updated in terms of physics, this is a shame.

The realism have almost not be improve since the arrived from S397 : what a pity !

People will never be happy, it's life and social forums anyway...

Don't forget guys that Studio397 are HUMAN PEOPLE, that for sure spend a lot of time in work, they've done a great job until now, there are some things to fix but let's jut be patient, rFactor2 is on good hands ;)

Tried FISI 2012 on dry track, nice changes to the physics, quite good default setup (rare on OW mods), you can drive it nicely out of the box. Not really a fan of how it is packaged, but I explained it in an other thread.
Thanks and cheers.

P.S.
Looked at distribution of temps across tires, when cornering with default camber settings, much improved, working as I believe it should.
