Latest Release 1109 Rain Effects AND MORE!

Unfortunately for me, and others who drive against the AI, there still seems to be a quicker car in the hands of the AI vs human. It does feel nicer to drive now, but I was hoping they'd slow the AI down when the update came.

I did ask @Marcel Offermans on Discord about this last night but he could not confirm whether it was fixed or not as Michael Borda was in bed :D. @Christopher Elliott then confirmed they know about the bug so unfortunately by your account it appears to of not been fixed (not checked myself yet), I therefore hope a Hotfix is incoming soon :)

yeah unfortunately, offline racing is impossible atm with them :(

The SR3 understeer issue seems to be fixed. At least it seemed that way when I tested it at Mountain Peak (Pseudo-Charlotte). It went from garbage to great fun. Too bad it took this long.

Yeah it sure took a while. Now have great fun hotlapping that thing. AI is still broken. What a massive disappointment that they havent adressed such a serious issue after such a long wait. I dont know if it is because A) They forgot B) They didnt bother C) They are not capable. Either way its a big sloppy joke. No excuses for that. But sadly its not a surprise any longer with all the half done jobs.

I ran a race with the RHD car and 19AI at Brands Hatch (now this track doesn't have the best AI being a port from another title) with 100% AI Level & it was a great race between 1st to 3rd to the last 5 mins where I went wide down Halwood Hill & into the sand traps. I thought to myself the speed bug had been fixed, GREAT!

I will test with SIlverstone on LHD & RHD hopefully later this evening and see what the situation is, however, I also need to send my wheel off to Fanatec, so if I get a chance to do that today then no more racing for me for a while :(

Oh yeah, also the rattling appears to have gone from the SR3, on my T150.
At least with smoothing set to 1 (required 5 or 6 before) there was no rattling coming out of the pits.

@ivaldi85 Such big frame drop could be because of fullscreen issues. rF2 DX11 has a bug with fullscreen, sometimes it does not run in fullscreen properly even if you have it selected, but usually it's fixed by alt-tabbing a few times and scrolling through the apps with mouse wheel. This has brought the FPS back for some users. Also make sure you have all v-syncs disabled (video/software/GPU). The other thing to make sure is that you are running in PCI-E x16 3.0 mode (you can check this with GPU-Z tool), but since you run fine in DX9 I assume this is the case.

Reguarding this full screen bug,for people having this issue, are they all using windows 10.
Specifically the fall creators update has caused issues on iracing with the resizing of the window, they have solved it by turning of the game bar display in windows settings

“One work around for this seems to be to disable the game bar. In the fall creators update, there is no option to turn off game mode like there was in the first creators update. Instead, one way, is in the windows settings, go to gaming, and in the game bar settings, uncheck the option to "show the game bar when I play full screen games Microsoft has verified", and toggle off the game bar. This seems to help. Another fix seems to be to create a shortcut for the sim, and in the compatibility settings, check "disable full screen optimizations". Either of these approaches seem to help.

Worth a try for those experiencing this full screen issue

What should I have done? Beta versions had been opted out, and the update was all automatic.
Have you verified the rF2 installation files in Steam ?
My installation had to download 37 files last night after verifying.
I then deleted the files in CBASH and Shaders.

Yes, I have. It downloaded 1 file, but it didn't help :(

I use Windows 7, and I have the same issue

Guess this is not the same issue then, thanks for clarifying
It might be a different issue for iRacing, but it seems to be the same for rF2. I don't think there are two different bugs causing the same effect on win7 and win10. I use rF2 with a non-native display resolution, so I can instantly see when it doesn't switch to full screen. 5 times out of 10, at least. Two Alt+Tabs solve the problem, but it's there.

Just did Silverstone qualy.. in the c7r wow that car feels awesome. But in the wet i quailed 6 sec faster than the ai. At the same setting in the dry i was 2 secs off pole?! This is at 93% i think. is there a ai slow in wet issue, has anyone had this?

This is a good point. The AI don't slide never ever, I think this is the reason why some times AI is super fast at dry.
But at wet, if you don't manage correctly the tyre slide, you won't be fast never.

I don't say that, as Loki said, could be soe problem when the AI at wet, but could be good if the AI overdrive and slide much more that they do now.

Keep pushing that is getting a look outstanding!!! ;););)

tried again..... :(

I'm not this good in the dry.! let alone wet
