Released Latest Build Update rFactor 2 - 1.1118 Now Available!

There is still a very long way to go to hope that rF2 is needed because the developments are much longer than we would like, but we are starting to see positive changes.

Hopefully the strategic choices made by S397 are the right ones.
I don't think so (it's not a scoop) but I would very much like to be wrong.

Courage and keep up the good work.

I have deleted all controller.ini (SP & ModDev) and all json files from the controller folder, but problem persists. At the end i did a complete new install, for the moment it seems, that the problem is gone.

Any chance to have silverstone classic track used today in legends trophy races available to all?

on the Silverstone Classic circuit, which uses a reprofiled section at the Vale and Club corners compared to the normal Grand Prix version.

@Alan Dove This is harder because you didn't install it, or you forgot how you installed it.

When running the installation you can use force_install_dir to tell it where to install. If that was done, you need to do the same when updating. If not, you don't. That's all that was meant above.

I can't offer more specific advice, plus when I was running servers I was using the anonymous login from the command line (so everything was all in one instruction) so I can't advise if you're doing something wrong.

hey mate, can you expand on that?

I'm trying to explain:

You can use steamcmd to install the RF2 installation into a directory of your choice instead of the default directory. This is done as follows:

steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir ../rFactor2-Dedicated +app_update 400300 +quit

If you now want to update the Dedicated Server you have to specify these installation options again, otherwise the installation and the update will not work together
