    Thanks Ralffan.

The command that has served me without problems is the following:

    steamcmd +login anonymous +force_install_dir ../rf2-cmd-b +app_update 400300 validate -beta v1112 +quit

I currently have the server online, with version 1112 visible and without problems

When everything works with 1114, we will update.

Now I will contact all the clients to reverse their versions on Steam client.

Thanks to everyone, I keep an eye on this thread to see if it is resolved soon.

Well, on my steam client the new version downloaded and everything works great. On my dedicated server I used steamcmd without a steam client running and everything works great.
    Job done.
    Thanks S397.

you are lucky then, thanks for the info..

my server has been running for 5 years now in a KVM VM, on Win7, installed via steamcmd.
Stopped working yesterday after the upgrade (to build 1114)...

So I am not sure who is affected, it would be nice to read an official statement who is affected...

when we tried to connect the server via IP address (gave the connection parameters in command line parameteres) our dedi crashed as well...

additionally our server is not showed in the matchmaker list...

So in summary we have 2 issues:
    - the server not listed in lobby
    - it crashes

hi, s397 stuff. After updated server for build 1114, we found that the log .xml became so huge. A log file for a practice session is almost 500 MB while the file size was usually 10MB before the update. The log file contain more <system> tag log than before. I want to know if there is possible to set the xml to log less content like before.
Moreover, we see that the server setting can‘t fixed the setup for every player like the way we did before. Is there any change about fixed setup setting on server?

We are in the same situation as you.
On a machine 4 SteamCMD servers without client or associated account.
In a different machine, the Steam client that is used to compete.

With the simple update, the server does not start.

If I change the multiplayer "Pause At Start Of Session" and "Pause While Zero Players" to true, it starts but is not shown in the server list on the client.

We are waiting, thank you very much for your time.

    Hello,

Hotfix doesn't work for us neither. Server still not appearing in the list and crashing if joined by IP or if not pause while zero player.

I guess that the issue is related with changes with Steam API judging by people who has servers running with Steam client on same machine.

Waiting patiently for a solution, meanwhile we've gone back to 1112.

    Good evening everyone,

Here I just installed the Steam client and ran it to update the client.
I didn't need to log in or create an account. Just the fact of installing and updating the client already solved!

    Thank you Krusti !!

    Same problem in our servers.
    We use steamcmd.
Changing the parameter "Pause While Zero Players":true, in the multiplayer.json, the server launches, but doesn't appear in the list.

We checked “fixed setup" in dedicated server, but setup is still adjustable on the server. Looks like a bug.

I have a problem, the logs of dedicated server are huge because in the STREAM section the connection log is continuously reported as below:

Good to hear you guys are hard at work getting this sorted. Any chance you have a good idea as to what is causing the server crash when using SteamCMD?

great stuff, good that all those issues get finally adressed. i always knew you would do at some point. sad that some other bugs came up, but thats life in development. Improved loading times is important to me.

keep on going, a lof of issues are left, hunt them! :D
