Try the SHQM hud in the workshop. It brings important hud elements to the centre of the screen.

Zandvort I’m getting the black lines moving away as I get closer, I’ve always had them but now they are worst.

Plus my sound is different, it’s lower and dull

    okay @everyone im confused....

How comes Naturally progressing RR has come back into every weather preset like old titles for zandvoort? The last few tracks have had med high presets and only Nat Prog on scripted weather..

Please S397 have all tracks like Zandy! please :)

In the updated Zandvoort? (0.34) I had the black lines on 0.20 with shadows on, I just tried with shadows on (0.34) and not getting the artifacts at all.

Maybe then it's better we don't tell you that ride height can also be displayed numerically in the HUD.
    Yep. ;)

    Hang on. Flashback time!
I think I remember now why we haven't told you.
It doesn't matter what session you're in, it matters who's in the seat.
Unless your name is AI it doesn't work.

Yeah with 0.34 they are even worst for me, I watched a stream of someone testing zandy and like you they didn’t have them, so it’s obviously something on my end, a setting maybe ???

I’ll check later what I had shadows set to as I can’t remember

Try clearing the Cbash and shaders folders, maybe is something related to the files of the previous version.

I did that thinking the same thing, it didn’t resolve the issue though

On 0.20 I could turn the weird black lines on and off just by enabling or disabling shadows. Verifying files and clearing shaders & cbash didn't do anything to fix it, but turning shadows off stopped them. Now with 0.34 I can run with shadows on and no issue, but unfortunately I didn't test 0.20 tonight beforehand, so there could be other factors at play too. That includes video drivers as I recently updated mine, but that seems a tenuous link as I have AMD and you don't. It's quite possible some of my other files changed in the meantime.

I did have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to Zandvoort to make it update, if yours already says 0.34 it's probably not necessary but may try that as well just to try and ensure nothing old is left behind.

I must say that I really like having so much new content to play with! S397 you're really doing a good job with the simulation and I'll happily pay for more ^^
@Marcel Offermans I'm only a bit dissapointed that hybrid simulation was not part of the annoucements at sim racing expo I know you're really busy with giving us all these new content but was really expecting it ^^ I hope this will be part of a future roadmap annoucement.
Really thanks for all the hard work of the team!

Will gear shift animation ever make it into rf2? So many people talk about immersion, this would certainly help to go towards that.

Seems like it is a "necessity" for VR users. As a triple screen user, I always have arms turned off because I can see my own arms perfectly fine.

If S397 do gear shift animation, I'd like to seem them do something else that no one else has done and be predictive rather than triggered by the person's real gear change. As it stands now, all the competitors with gearshift animation will do the animation after the player has already made the shift. To my eyes, it is just as jarring as no animation!

If gear shift animation is done please include an option to keep it switched off

In VR it’s awful & distracting
It’s never synced to real moving arm so it’s pointless
