If i were you i would do full game clean install ofcourse if you have fast connectionUnfortunately for me this update showed a bad result.
I switched from DX9 to this update (I waited for this update because my experiences with DX11 were not good).
The result is not good because I have an excessively variable framerate, it happens that in a few seconds my FPS change from 200> 70> 150> 100> 170> 80 ..... but I have an even bigger problem ..... ...
Driving at night I lose over 50% of the FPS and is unviable.
I have done a lot of tests, the problem seems to pass at night, this halves the FPS and it does not matter if I decrease all the settings to the minimum this will change slightly (maybe 5 FPS recovery).
You can see my hardware from the signature, do not use PostProcessing (it gets even heavier), Shadows, reflections, particles and rain I set everything to low.
I am willing to provide everything that may be useful to you to understand this problem.
For me it is very important to find the solution given that competing at night is present in the championship that I participate.
Always been about 50 metres away with me.Are everyone else's shadows being drawn in 50m away, no matter low<->max? It used to be much much further up the road. Have I screwed up a setting somewhere?
If I roll back to build 1109, I can see shadows up to about 3-5x the 1110 distance. No idea what that's about.Always been about 50 metres away with me.
I did have to have my settings down low to med being on triples but I've been told it is caused by less than ideal track modding methods and not graphics settings.
Ah, I was testing during night. Now that I've switched to an afternoon race, I'm seeing 10% VR performance improvements.VR is running 30% slower! Very peculiar.
Where we can change that damping factor? Couldn't find it yet.
- Changed the way opponent volume works. If you set them to 100% in the past, they were way too loud. If you turned them down, they would not be as loud as the player car in external cameras. We introduced a damping factor now for the cockpit that can be configured per car and defaults to 0.3 that solves this issue.
Replay on minimum configuration is sufficient to avoid crashes
Does Random weather now work? Also how do you enable this on server?Open servers are up for your enjoyment:
S397 OPEN Server 1 - ALL GT3s and a selection of tracks (Random Weather)
S397 OPEN Server 2 - Dallara Indycar and a selection of tracks
Ah ok , will see later if it’s that steam thingy and also check if l have correct mappingAs Goanna said, still working.
I don't have that Steam overlay thingy turned on so F12 gives me a "Screen Saved" message in the ingame message box and it is stored in rF2 Screenshot folder.
I’d guess it’s mod choice ? Silverstone and with GT or FISI has always been my bench mark datumHey Bwana, how is it possible that you get such great fps? Have an i7 4770k at 4.2, 16gb ram and a GTX 1080ti and tonight I ran a couple of races with 25 AI and even though I lock my fps at 90 I had lots of times with fps in the 50s and 60s, especially at race start. Admittedly I was using mod cars and mod tracks but I could not imagine they would kill my fps by about half compared to you, I was starting mid grid too.
I think you post there by using the button in the launcher, not doing a direct postOkay I was going to open a support thread but apparently i dont have enough privileges to post there ?
Why is that ?
Thanks to the people who have offered help , i have a few things to try but i dont like my chances of finding the issue
Well thats silly !I think you post there by using the button in the launcher, not doing a direct post
