In build 218 if a person left server during race, it caused a huge lag and left an AI behind.
In build 228 if a person leaves server, a repeated small lag occurs and you see same person coming and going. This stops only if you stop race.

Is there any fix for this or we are postponing our scheduled races?

This is ridiculous and sad. Just now event of the first joint rF2 championship between two exUSSR communities spectacularly failed... In practice-qual-warmup all was ok. In the race, after first player leaves server we have continuous lags (freezes) every second.

We tested with Allow Race Rejoin="0" and Allow Race Rejoin="1". Same lags.

Its very disappointing. rF2 currently is unusable for online!

I was just in an online PASSWORDED race and we experienced the choppy lag issue about lap 4 at Montreal. The entire field was exiting/entering race and jumping forwards and backwards on the track. So I guess the next test should be passworded and non passworded races.

So far, we are not having the problem with our dedicated server Build 228, the Montreal track, and the Marussia for the Canadian GP race. No idea if we're just lucky or it is some setting.

To reproduce the problem, you can begin a race session.
During the race someone press "ESC", "Exit to Monitor". After that press "Leave Track".
From this moment every few seconds appear a lag for every one. The list of drivers turns crazy. Appearing and disappearing drivers. And every time a driver appears or disappears occurs a lag.
    RESULT=DISASTER

Check if your servers multiplayer.ini has been updated, failing to update it seemed to be the culprit for the SR4L server. No problems whatsoever now.

Server is updated and the Muntiplayer must be too.
In the current Multiplayer appears this line:
Allow Race Rejoin="0" // Whether disconnected players are allowed to rejoin the race session
In the 218 version the line is like this:
Rejoins When Closed="0" // whether disconnected players are allowed to join closed sessions

    I understand that the Multiplayer.ini s updated.

    ¿Am i right?

Clean install on our dedicated server from Build 218 > Build 228 including the multiplayer.ini and .plr files. Figured that stuff changes in those files from build to build so carrying those over are a potential problem.

Trying what lagg posted to see if we can replicate it.

Yes, apparently not everything was updated. Since ISI does not support autoupdate for not licensed rF2 server I was tired of uninstalling rF2 for every build on server and installed 228 over 218 build. Which resulted in this lags I assume. Now I completely uninstalled rF2, deleted its directory and then installed 228 from scratch. No lags for now.

    FYI, autoupdate requires a login/password but doesn't need activation/licence.
