Greetings to all. From Las3Caras Simulation we propose you to realize a community project. The idea is to share our FI2022 mod, but not completely. I will try to explain. We have been running this mod since the end of last year so it is to deduce that, for us, what we have is enough. We try to simulate, as much as possible, the conditions of real F1, and the truth is that we are quite satisfied. I would like to create a development group to make this mod good enough and similar to the real cars. This would require an engine and physics done by an expert in the field. It would also be necessary a set of tires (C1-C2-C3-C4-C5-INTER-FULL WET) as updated and balanced as possible. Regarding the modeling, they are totally own, made by our colleague NAVI during the last year. They are based on the prototype made by F1 and the original wind tunnel model. The customizations include the animated face of each driver integrated in the helmet. I repeat, it is not a request for us, it is an offer to make a mod by and for the community. If you find it interesting, and you have the knowledge required to do it, we coordinate and try to carry it out. Attached are some screenshots of the vehicles and some helmets. My two cents: I would significantly darken the drivers' faces. It's a nice touch, but outside of having a completely modelled face (all shapes, including recessed eyes), the brightness on the texture gives away too much the lack of 3D features. A much darker texture will also be more up to par with the level of light inside the helmet.
Thank you for your feedback. You may be right, the thing is that each pilot has four textures (they have assigned an animation, open eyes, closed eyes, looking right, and looking left). I would have to correct about 80 textures. If it was a serious error maybe I would think about correcting it. Keep in mind that not all photos have the same brightness, head inclination, etc. Equalizing them all is quite laborious. Besides, if I darken Hamilton more, he won't be seen, hehehe. Maybe darkening the visor can be corrected a little, but I like to see the faces well. In any case no one has proposed to improve the mod, so....
