I finally changed my GPU, ATI5850 to NV680. I am having a small issue though, unless I use HDR the screen is black on track or track menu. The menus themselves show up it's just track and cars that are all black. I can fix this by either alt-tab or enable HDR. Previously alt-tab would halve my FPS and make the game unplayable, it seems ok with NV. Also my track load times have improved a little, 2-3mins ATI to around 1min NV. The other issue is there is no or very little car reflection, matt finish all round.
Well, I'm not an expert and you shouldn't really rely on my "expertise" but as it can't hurt to give some advise; did you remove your old drivers properly? And are you absolutely sure of that? Maybe a repeat of that? Try some "cleaner"? As for the HDR (same as above though ) I do know that it is unwise to alter that in game; you should really only do that in the "little screen menu" before you start the game. Thanks guys, I had used driversweeper to make sure the drivers were gone. As long as the black screen is a known issue then it's not a problem.
