Released July 2022 Release Candidate Now Available

I've been here for 4 years now. And every day I learn more.
Now I understand what the professionals mean by tire management.
Plus the great Realroad 2.0 update.
Insanity!
Here's another insider tip:
"Michael Krumm - Driving on the edge".
But hard to get...
Here a professional tells all his secrets to perform.
And it works in rF2!
I'm close to 1:21 with the GTE..

I'm totally with you!
Racing simulation, ok. For those who want it very difficult and real, fine!
Only for the occasional driver, you shouldn't block the F9 key on cars that really don't have ABS.
Leave it as before, ABS, off, low or high and it's good.
Everyone can then decide how they want it!
I've been there since rF1 (2005 I think) was always a great solution for everyone.

On a general note, the gap/learning curve between occasional drivers and sim racing could be an opportunity for a single player mode that guides/teaches the player through how to progressively acquire sim racing skills.

With features like helping the driver check that he has the proper controls and FFB configuration, and that he's actually getting/understanding the proper feedback info from it. Or introductions to basic setup tweaking and understanding car behavior.

These are entry barriers to sim racing, and could benefit from a "gamification" of a step by step training process to learn them.

Main stream games (not just racing games) are full of pointless challenges/achievement ladders where you actually don't learn anything, they are just about getting the fake gratification of the game telling you reached some kind of achievement. Gran Turismo 7 license center has some hints of a driving school format, but it's very superficial, and it's nowhere near a proper sim racing training/introduction.

Motorsport Games could include some form of this in one of its mainstream titles, like a proper sim racing skills "license center", but based on rF2 physics.

Just had a small update of about 83mb, dunno if it was RF2 patching or workshop content update, anyone know?
In Steam, select Rfactor2, then in the main Rfactor 2 pane select Workshop. In the Workshop page Look for "My Files", in the drop down selection select "Subscribed Items", that will take you to a list of your subscribed items, on this pane there is another drop down list next to "Subscribed Items" with "Date subscribed" selected, click on this drop down list and select "Date Updated", this will then list subscribed items with the latest updates at the top of the list.

The only problem with this is that everyone would run with the ABS driving aid on high as it would be quicker.

If you added 50 - 100 kg penalty for using the ABS driving aid, that might work.

I wonder if you are playing the wrong title. Need for Speed Grid might be a better match for you.

It seems tire pressures don't react to the temperature changes.
So the pressures are the same if you run a stint in 10C or in 40C. This is not realistic for sure.

This gatekeeping really needs to stop

If offline players want to run cars with ABS or TC without sitting for hours to set and test braking, pressures etc the option should be there for them as it has been for every single rF2 build for the last 10+ years

Not gate keeping, it sounds like he wants a more relaxed racing experience, I suggested one. It would be no different if I said I have an Xbox controller and I want to fly the most complex 747 Cargo jet on my 5 year old system. The flight sim forum folks would respond that I was heading up the wrong road.
Advancing concepts in the sim can always have the possibility of breaking things that worked in the past. Remember the hullabaloo when flat spotting suddenly showed up? How many times did painters have to alter and re-upload skins during the two+ years of graphic improvements? It's been posted that the sound engine took twice as long to release as expected due to trying to accommodate old or 3rd party content. Yet most of the complaints have been from users that prefer old or 3rd party content.

Tires management, smooth inputs, crucial for high level competition.

any hint about the Q3 content, I'm really hyped about the tracks, as I only hotlap cause the AI is lacking of so much features.
No more BTCC content ?

I expect a combination of BTCC & possibly another Indycar track. They are missing two WEC tracks but we know Bahrain is coming in the Q4 release, so Fuji is always a possibility.
