Make a thread with traces and all information you can provide. It's obviously not the RC since you're getting it on the main build too.

No, it obviously isn't. Just look in the install- and sub-folders. Switching exe is obviously not enough to revert to the pre-RC-state. I've noticed that already with bugs in older RC-candidates that carried over. rF2 would do better to use separate games and folders like Reiza does with AMS2. First both game-versions shared the same settings, but they changed that as well probably because it was causing trouble.
 
Can anyone confirm that in VR menue->car setup screen no more choppy - seems to be fixed after ydays update. (or is it just me?)

Yep it's fixed. The did it by removing the automated folder refresh and by adding the manual refresh button.

Changing to and from the RC downloads something like 600MB (one way or the other) so there's indeed a lot more than just the .exe files involved, and the various config files aren't updated/reset by that process at all. Maybe the RC has corrupted something and that's bled over into the non-RC crashing, I don't know - the point is just posting here saying it's crashing for you isn't helping to work out the why. Make a thread so you can give more info and everything is clearer.
 
I constantly switch steam branches during development with out a single issue. If there's something causing an issue with that I'd be happy to hear about it.
 
We are dropping a few updates (including the RC to opt out) over the next hours as the new content will have dependencies on this build, and ofc stuff takes time to propagate through Steam etc.

The actual Q3 drop will be much later this afternoon - but of course, the usual article and socials will be released at that time informing everyone and share change notes etc.

Yes, the DLC updates are harder to track but I saw something about those tracks too.

We're impatient at this point!

So if i opt out of RC build now the main version has all the new features already?
