Hello. Since the v1.01 update, I don't have any more mirrors. Even virtual mirrors. Am I missing something with the setup ?

 

Numeric key 3 of keyboard cycles through mirror options, no problems with mirrors and the update of this car, they are present and work.

Problem solved. My bad. It was not related to the key 3 but on the main options screen, Video settings, I tick a new ? option "Extend UI" and it disable my mirrors for all cars.

Something seems to be wrong with the suspension geometry. Its not possible to get heat the to the inner side of the tyres passing corners even with -4.5 caster.

I don't know if anyone has brought it up so far, but how feasible would be to move the Rims, Tires and Helmet options to the Updates?

Depending only on the GENSTRING format, it makes impossible to make proper use of Virtual Rides.
Initially I thought about suggesting you to provide multiple .VEH files with the various combinations, but for the Shiro alone it would be 18 files! Not very good.

 

I am not in the secrets of S397, but I hope the complicated and bugged way to add your skins to the game will change with the new update of the game.

I decided to replicate the classic late-90s Pennzoil GT-R that raced on JGTC, so here it is. This one is based on the 1999 version, driven by É. Comas and S. Motoyama.

Once installed, you'll find 2 virtual rides. One using the current SuperGT decals (numberplates, windshield banner and Nismo logos), and another more aligned to the classic version.

Disclaimer: As rim type and tire manufacturer are only selectable on .veh files, the virtual rides only can use the ones we already have, so yes, you'll have Bridgestone stickers while using Michelin tires! (Indy F1 2005 anyone? lol)

HOW TO INSTALL
Extract the .zip file anywhere you want, and copy the UserData folder provided to your rFactor2 root.

When "the big update" comes will that mean that mods like these can get higher resolution cockpits?
When comparing mods there is already a large difference in cockpit resolution, even a 4k these cars cockpits are pretty hard to read, for lack of better words.

 

No, this are some standart ussage textures everywhere actually, some others even use lower ones. All the textures are allready at some maximus size to have a good performance and still good look. Im not sure thought what you mean by big update, especially on JT5.
