This 64-bit doesn't have to be released the end of the other week. It can take longer time for testing and only be out in July, for example. It's a necessary step forward and there's no need to worry so much with a rush job, I don't understand the concerns of moving from 32-bit.

Sorry but that hurriness cannot be compared to the risk of releasing a faulty insufficiently tested and validated build.

Do be clear. I said 64 bit was possible. not a sure thing in the next build.

what? and where did I say I wanted it NOW and READY exactly? where have I wanted the 64bit "hurried"? I'm fully aware this may take a long time to get right and I'm ok with that, suggest you read posts properly instead of interpreting your own thoughts

We will have an unstable build Jeremy said for testing purpose before the stable one. It's up to people to install it or not, and if people install it to use as multiplayer important event they prepared for weeks, then, I hope they also have the bdsm leather suit and the gag mouth ball which come with such decision ;)

The post you commented was related about releasing new build on certain date. Maybe your response was to bare to understand what you pretended. I understood you were in disagreement about the non urgency of releasing the 64bit-build.

If you didn't mean that nothing else to say.

You know. I am very sensitive to unstable even numbered releases...

I'd be surprised if a 64exe was released anytime soon. I remember ISI only mentioning it just a few months ago.

yeah it's one of those things that maybe kept in Unstable for a few releases even with standard release Builds inbetween if you know what I mean, still at least we know it's happening at somepoint.

I was gonna come here and ask the question which that article is the answer to (any other advantages to 64bit or just the memory thing?)
It is all good news though, I guess it is no quick task to make the switch so it is one more bug hurdle out of the way before they can start improving and adding new features and generally improving the user experience. I am very curious about changes to the matchmaker, bringing it closer to functionality of rF1 would be very nice.

I think that's the reason also why I interpreted his reply to yours in a different way. It is funny how we all misunderstood the others :)

It's like unclogging a drain pipe on the system as a whole. It seriously could only take a Windows background program waking up while you're right at the limits of your RAM usage to tip you over the edge. It also gives us many more internal CPU registers and additional CPU instructions for more efficient code. It's very win-win-win. I'm just hoping the 32bit gains don't get overlooked as well.
