Jeremy Miller tweets (Senior Programmer at ISI)

My only real concern is the multiplayer aspect - most leagues aren't running this sim due to lack of content, or the fact that it's not 'finished' yet, and when you look for some casual online racing there's nobody there. I can only assume most people are still driving the older sims (rF1, GTR2/Evo etc), and i'm not sure what it will take for them to make the switch.

Perhaps some clarity from ISI would help your issue, no? Go ahead...continue to have no expectations and watch the modding community move on to other titles.

I'm wondering, which other title has more, direct communications?

EDIT: that sounds like I'm having a go, I'm not....but people from ISI speak a lot more than other sim communities I've been a part of....

Just my two cents but I don't see how it's relevant to us when the build is released. I want ISI to do what is right and makes the most sense in the grand scheme of things and also the better the quality of the build the less the next build will be delayed, etc. The only thing I can think of that IS relevant is whatever modders need to know to makes decisions and prevent re-work, etc.

Anyone who is bored should learn how to drive 60s F1 :-P

It isn't relevant.

Communicating what's in the build (major items) at the time and in advance, wherever possible, is very relevant to modders and a sub-set of paying customers (not you, obviously).

Communicating a feature road map with even vague time frames attached is also very relevant to many. The specific day of release and all the silliness that accompanies it, is not part of this thought process. We can all agree that we should wait for the developer to decide to release an individual build when it won't cause more problems than it solves.

I don't think it will make his life easier, at all.

He may well know the projected times of how long someone is meant to be working on a project but we don't need to know this.

If he came on and gave us a list of people, projects and projected time frames, people would be happy.....right up until they don't deliver on said projected delivery date.
That is the basics of it, yes. And not wanting to re-type what I feel already covers subsequent replies, I won't be re-stating. :)

ahh yes well, I see. Thank you :) so your comment for today, is, no comment? For the record of course (I really am just trying to be light hearted, nothing serious at all.) :)

Just personal opinion.....
Moaning about a build release has no point. Thats why some beta´s/alpha´s are closed.
Only thing we notice about build releases is that communities with championships announced dont know how it will be in 1 week. Probably not much diference in build 240 to next one...
We have a championship starting in 19 and have time to change whatever is needed but some others maybe cant. For exemple, there´s a test event in RD this weekend and no one knows how it will be. Much certainly there will be people with 240 and others with new one.
But thats the cost we all need to pay to have a nice and clean RF2 in near future.

Not to mention the fact that anyone running a league on an alpha version of a game has no right to complain about an update breaking the league. This isn't a finished title, they shouldn't treat it as one.

Rf2 is not alpha FYI.
I don't understand your point either about people running leagues should not complain about an update breaking a league. What do you mean with breaking a league? When a new build appears, league administrators tipycally test it before introducing it into a championship. Two builds can be separately installed so the testing is not an issue in terms of install/uninstall stuff. Is that breaking a league? I would understand that break would stand for screw up in terms of making content not
usable any more wgich has not happened to the date.

I don't recall anyone saying, well, anything that you are saying.

Enough for you to wait! When that is done, then it will be released.
3:00 long chase race. Then you'll get tired and rest. :)
