Jacksonville seems easy on tires. Run at Mountain Peak with default and your RF will be hurting. Jacksonville, 46.8 with greenish track, increased tape, and no drafting. Occasional draft knocks it down a few tenths, get in a pack and you can easily drop into the 45s. Engine will die in about 5 laps if you use 100% tape
Amazing.. thanks. However is there anyway to increase the draw distance of the shadows from say the fencing. They clip far too early. Thanks again...
Seriously, WHERE do you even exit garage area? I've been driving around and moving around the camera to try to find the right path to the track... after 20 minutes I give up LOL. Please tell me someone. pls
First time I ran the track in private practice mode and the exit was completely walled off (also assumed I couldn't find it). Re-loaded with private turned off the the wall was gone and I was able to follow the AI out fine. Nice track. Edit - just tried again with private back on, and it was fine. Maybe a first time loading thing?
Same here. 46.8ish on 12.5gallons, however, I left the tape alone and made chassis adjustments with a minor suspension adjustment (that took me a while to figure out!). It's actually hard to follow the pack though. The AI maintains their left tire on top of the yellow line all the way around whenever I try to follow.
Lol, HD7850...so...3 years old? And I just have max shadow detail and optimal shadow blur on. No GPU control panel profiles either.
This shadow glitch is a weird bug. I once had a combination of settings where the shadows looked good. Thought they fixed it. After adjusting some settings lately the moving shadow cut a few meters in front of me is back. Until now I didn't have managed to get the good shadows back...
Shadow clipping perhaps happens at certain times of the day, for me at 7am (I think) I don't get any and that's when I was running most, therefore I didn't see any. Edit: Just done a test and sure enough I get no clipping at 7am, at 3:30pm (I didn't test every half hour!) I do see some but it's certainly doesn't detract from the racing and I only notice it if I go looking for it.
I just did an online race, and with 2 laps to go, I was outside of a 3 wide for the lead in turns 1-2, and then, I received a warning for a cut track That was curious.
