    Yes. You're right

    Zandvoort boring

Brands Hatch super monotonous and boring

    Nordschleife absolutely to sleep

    Rouen did not work

    ect, ect, ect

There are hundreds of tracks, are very interesting.

in a simulation I need neither fantasy tracks, yet fantasy cars.

That is what you want, not what I want or other users do. I love real tracks, but I also love to race "real" cars in fantasy tracks, because the important thing is to drive the car, if a fantasy track fits better, why not to build It?

Autumn Ring, Mountain Forest... from GT series are awesome as Toban is.

Might it be fair to say that some of these older fantasy tracks like Mills, Sardian, and Toban, and from other games like the GT series have been around long enough to have some legitimate charm of their own? Besides the question of whether or not they're fun to drive, they do now have their own history within sim racing.
Sort of similar to the way Monaco isn't really suitable for modern GP cars, but it's full of history and tradition.

I'm still waiting for Chatham Hills with it's rumored "Long" version :)

That is going back a ways, but Chatham is one of my personal favorites

Andreas: How long are you doing simracing?
    You didn´t understood anything!

If you want all fancy RL-stuff in a short time, with what you call top-visuals, you are propably wrong here!?
All I read of you is complaining and doing silly comments. You have to take rF2 as it is! If you can´t do that, do something else. Plain and simpel.

You did a question... why so much effort by ISI on such track? and some users said that a lot of people like fantasy tracks.

As said, I like real tracks, of course, but fantasy tracks are also awesome. Mills still being a nice track to compete, Toban will be a great addition, why not? Loch Drummond is the last one and I also raced in a league in that track with BTCC cars, with a better experience than hundreds of real tracks (I really like Loch Drummond).

I want those tracks as much as real tracks becuase of the good racing you can have at them:

    Toban:

    Mills:

    Loch Drummond:

No loop tracks, but race tracks. Remember this, every real track was always a fantasy track before It was built.

I appreciate all these attentions to details but somehow the objects look a little flat and lack good specular seen in other realtime PBR previews I have seen around.

Fantasy tracks are free to make for anyone. Making a real track requires paying a high price for license, travel to location and do survey, get the scanned mesh ported into game, etc. Probably you save months of development time by doing a fantasy track instead.

Yes that's true, and I do not want another discussion - pay content yes / no. Personally, I would like to pay extra for good content. So I give peace.

Certain fantasy tracks are worth of a proper treatment. Essington and Lienz (such a good playground showcase for different forms of racing) from rF1, and certain tracks from older Gran Turismo titles also fall into the category.

These days you can obtain laser-accurate survey data from the track themselves, from other sources, or even a good reference map. As seen with with Northamptonshire, Malaysia, São Paulo, Belgium or Monte Carlo, you don't need to license the tracks for a good result.

Here is a somewhat older post from Michael about the progress on Toban (oh boy, time is running :D). I don't know if it's still relevant but I'm very interested to see the results.

That was the quote I was referring to in my earlier post. I guess we'll find out soon if they stayed with that approach.

Okay ... it start with a right/left chicane (assuming that the video start on the main straight)... and it's not Monza. Hum

edit : I bet a cent on Fiorano or Misano. The first 3 turns et the last one matches, and I clearly heard a hairpin in the middle :)
