That is hugely disappointing and another indication of too few resources for tracks at ISI.

I'm stumped. I cant see a match to Barber, Brands, or Road Atlanta and I'm struggling to think of another track with similar sections.

I wonder is the kart track part of the same facility? It looks fairly unique and if so someone should recognize it.

Indeed. It's a track that is not in any current racing sim, and it's a really good one too.

Something that might be worth pointing out; the curbs are dirty/old/worn, which I thought ISI werent doing with there recent tracks. It almost looks like a very early RF2 - or even RF1 - art style.

Something I noticed too yesterday, which I found quite interesting.

I give up on trying to call this one. The latest picture reveals a lot of the track(s) and I just can't recognize it.
It seems though, as others have pointed out, that it's a kart layout within another big track.

But did you notice that in the first picture and in the last the curb are not the same color... ?

Looks like the kart track at the Charlotte Speedway to me

I did, which also led me to believe that it may be a kart track (red/white curbs) within a larger track (the other green or gray-ish curbs).
    Stumped.

Hmmmm but the CMS road course doesn't have curbs.

I admit the kart layout looks similar, but there is a lot of small details that are different. BUT, we know we are getting 'Mountain Peak' Speedway at some point, which is uhhhh very similar to Charlotte. :) Could be a fictionalised version of the kart layout.

also, the phrase the track team tweeted 'mountain of tweaking' sounds like Mountain Peak.... unless im reaching here :p

e: yeah, this track looks VEEERY similar ;)

This section seems to match the first screen -where the RC rejoins the oval at turn 1. The placement of the tirewall/barrier at the top of the screen matches where the wall is in the real track.

But has the community "requested that track over and over"..?
Which tracks have we begged ISI for? :)

That barrier is very oddly shaped, with a sharp corner and then a round corner.
Could maybe help with identifying the track. Me wants to know. :)

That looks like a match. It would mean that ISI presents us a 'fantasy' version of the track though, with all these side-roads perpendicular to the race track missing, and some self engineered curbs added.

I dont think the barrier is real. Also, the RV parking is missing, and other notables. Imitation + creative licence?

The second screen they posted looks similar to this early shot of same track: http://rfactor.net/web/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/20090401.jpg

Look at where you can see the two curbs on either side, the 'grasscrete' and also the wall than angles out.

Would they do that? They were so meticulous when creating Silverstone and Indy.

It's not a licensed track (unless anything changed)
