I was in qualifying just now for a megane race when the error message rfactor has stopped working popped up and now all servers seem to be down. I guess the matchmaker fell over.
It shouldn't cause any issues with running servers when the matchmaker is turned off. The matchmaker does get turned off when we do updates to it, normally not for more than 5mins. And this'll happen during the beta as we work, after the beta you'll get warning.
How often (at the moment in Beta) does Matchmaker get turned off ? for example couple times a day or week ? Curious that's all..
When there is code to deploy. By my reckoning it's normally twice a week or so, but this past week a lot more.
Thanks Tim.. I was trying to work out why the Dedicated server kept crashing (meaning people can't see the server in the viewer, however rf2 dedi server still running). Messages of 'Cannot respond with Matchmaker', where you would see 'Updated Successfully' (above the ID).. It would explain why the server is crashing all the time..
