finally got around to trying this -- what a deluge of sim cars over the holiday -- im wondering if theres a general guide to the car, for example does it use KERS or have some kind of overtake button? i assume not, but sometimes rf2 can be poor about notifying such things.

similarly i think there was a setting for brake mapping defaulting to 10, where can i find info about what these settings & values mean?

Brake map applies part throttle when 'coasting', primarily to even out the torque variance as you downshift. This is at the cost of some extra fuel consumption, but in general, higher values are more stable / easier to drive.

About the tyres, we have had to make changes for our championship for the coming year, because there are things that are not right. I believe ISI should make more rigorous test and spend more time in it. Supersoft tyres are faster than intermediates with 50% of water on track (track wet, lifting spray but that does not reflect, ideal conditions for intermediates). Under these conditions, the slicks have too much grip, it is not normal.
Also, in my opinion, the intermediates tyres are too dificult with 100% of water on track. It should be more slow than wet tyres, but no extremly dificult, like it are now (we have corrected this too).

Apart from these problems, the rest is a great job.

It really depends what you're trying to simulate with a 'full wet' track. The game doesn't do aquaplaning yet, so if you want to mimic a decent amount of standing water with full wet it does make sense for the inters to get quite slippery (once there's too much water, they can't clear it and start aquaplaning just like a slick on less water... the game can't do it that way, so just overall less grip is the only option).

Having said that, I take the same approach as you. Everyone falling off the track takes the fun out of it a bit :)

Yes, but with this low grip in wet conditions, when the track is still wet, but there is still not a dry rail, supersoft slicks have more grip than intermediates. That is not realistic and therefore we have worsened the grip of the slicks in those conditions and improved the intermediates, so everything is like it should be :).

This may be an issue beyond the tires, maybe there will be a wet racing update soon and hopefully this will be neutered. It was a big problem before.

I can't remember where but I am quite sure that ISI said recently that updating the wet conditions wasn't in the pipeline. Maybe someone can confirm or deny it.

I got confirmation from Tim as long as maybe even 2 months ago that weather was/is undergoing rework. If it contains all the improvements that we are wishing for then sure, they are working on it for some time now.

I have a problem with a driver in our championship where we use ISI official F1 mod.
Driver, from showroom, select medium-hard tires, but all the other drivers see it with ss-soft tires. What's the problem?

Same here, Tim told me 2-3 months ago they were reworking the weather system. Don't know what improvements are to be included.

I'm really having fun with this car offline, but there is a little thing that annoy me: In the setup parameters it's not possible to define a pit strategy, I would like to make 2 or 3 different setting for the AI to use, but I don't know how can I do it. For example, I would like to make some car start with soft and then pit to use medium (for example) during the race, and viceversa. How can I do this?

I think you'll find your options here are limited. Hamiltonfan2205 has posted a number of times about various things he's tried to get working for offline racing, with varied success.

When driving a track which is known by the system, you cannot change those values. Some tracks might force you to some tire choices. If you change the tire while beeing online it can take some time until others see the change. Thats a bit odd and i have to forward this for future improvements.
