-rain -AI -day/night transition -Silverstone -new damaged system Finally with all the laserscanned tracks and all the different class cars already present, in 2019 will iRacing be a very good sim ? For my case, if all the options are made, i will renew immediately my membership.
No matter if they add all of those things, the most important part for my is the ntmv7, no mention of that even though they said it would be released months ago. Iracing has all the tracks and cars but the physics especially the suspension needs overhauling, and the tyre model now is just crap. I have nearly £800 spent in iracing, it will take more than just sparkly features to bring me away from rf2. Believe me, I want to use all that content I paid for, but iracings rating systems don’t do what they intended irating per car, ntmv7, suspension overhaul then I may consider resubbing for more than 3months
Ffb is not great ( although it’s effective on oval content ) There’s key things they don’t seem to want to address, at a guess wet weather will be back end of 2019 & maybe have some delays I don’t want to “rent “ software anymore
then you are going to move away from rF2... Would be great if they removed that 5 or 6 car limit in iRacing and then invested on a full grid in the endurance series. It's stupid to have just 2 GTE and 3 current gen GT3 imo
Time to burst a couple of bubbles. I don't t see any problems with Alcolo making this thread. You'll find you don't actually "own" rFactor also.
I will expect a knock on the door from Marcel then .. never noticed that ‘ other games ‘ forum .. my bad
I didn't see a need for it in the General section, but where it's been moved to it's fine (I wish it didn't have a redirect still sitting in the main forum, but anyway...) Except that I can pay nothing and keep playing it. None of us owns software or is entitled to ongoing use of it (so game servers shutting down is always possible, as has happened with other games) but the iRacing model is another level above. We sort of had that for the non-lifetimers in rF2 until they took out the online subscription, but it was still a game you could play as much as you wanted, just not online.
They have lost the blancpain licence, so I’m not sure anymore cars will be either gt3 or gte will be going to iracing. Their mantra of official series or nothing will start to bite them, but it may not be a bad thing, as the more series they add the spread out the player base became
If the AI reviews end up being good and they move away from the subscription model for offline players, I might give it a try. I've heard good things about the tracks but bad things about the FFB and as someone who doesn't play online, I'd never pay a subscription.
they have about 800 players online everytime i log in its very successful game but needs time(farm) and money to invest worst farming experience for me (gather safety rating).
